When you had sewn the lining to the outside , did you do them both right sides together ? As i could see one side was wrong side facing us.

Very helpful. The pattern I'm using was missing a page of the instructions and I couldn't wrap my head around the final steps of sewing the side seams. Thank you!

Thank you so much for this tutorial!! I’m going to be sewing a vest from another pattern I got and they only give written and picture instructions. The vests are pretty much the same except for it is more fitted and I’ll be using fusible interfacing for the whole wrong side rather than just in the button hole area. The pattern I bought only has picture and words step by step. I wish it had a video tutorial. But this tutorial does the trick! I’ve watched it like 5 times so that I’ve got the basics down. I’ll update this comment later when I’m finished.

This is really cute. I'd never made a corset before but just followed it for a halloween costume and it turned out really cute. Thanks for posting <3

Do vests need lining throughout the whole thing or only near the buttons? I'm trying to make one and on the pattern I'm using it says to interface the whole thing

I have been looking for a bloomers pattern to approximate a RTW pair I have seen with a very lightweight satin fabric and shirring at the waist/leg … this is just what I am after and will be easy to adapt. Thank you so so much for providing such clear and concise instruction!! ⭐️😍

I am in Japan for 5 weeks and I accidentally bought a bolt specifically made for an obi. Thank you for your video! I needed the help to figure out how to make a Nagoya Obi. Traditionally, you don’t cut the fabric, so I’m going to integrate that with your lesson.

Your version is modified by your own western felt type, NOT FROM REAL Japanese one whole piece type. Still good to watch
