You don’t need a power buffer just all by hand with the microfiber ?
@SweetScoots
@SweetScoots 7 күн бұрын
Why would you want to spend WAY more time doing it by hand? When in a fraction of the time you could use some machine power, which inturns gets you doing what your bought the bike for in the first place.....RIDING! :)

Sorry for the late reply, we tried rivets but with the constant vibration the plastic became loose and it was more of a pain to replace the plastic...the bolt and nut held and never became loose and it was very quick to replace the plastic...thanks for asking. Mad Mike

Good video. Anyone try using Pop Rivets instead of Bolts
@SweetScoots
@SweetScoots 18 күн бұрын
The reason we use bolts is because we know most people don't have a rivet gun, but that is a really good idea. The other issue with rivets is with the constant vibration we've had them shake loose and the other reason to use bolts is because it's easier to change out the plastic when needed. Thanks for the view and comment, have a great week. mad Mike

I had the same problem years ago. Bike still under warranty. It took me 5 frustrating and each trip back to the Harley dealership here in Texas got more and more aggravating, for them to finally figure out the problem. Each time I got almost halfway home, about 10 miles each time, it started running like crap. I told them it's probably the crank sensor the first time I was there. They said it was most likely carb jetting due to me only adding screamin eagle exhaust. I was right, they were wrong and no apologies for their incompetence either. Been 18 years ago I've NEVER been back to that stealership. These places are supposed to have TRAINED AND EXPERIENCED mechanics.

You want to use schedule 40 pipe, and split it in half, warm it up and flatten it out. The schedule 30 pipe that you get at homedepot will not work. If you're not sure which is which, just ask an associate at hd to help you get a 2 to 2 1/2 inch piece of schedule 40 water pipe. you have to be careful about polishing portions of your motorcycle engine and leaving the rest of the engine unpolished.. I have seen people polish, the side covers of their engine, the clutch engine side, cover what is an easy to access part to buff and polish and make it look like chrome.. here’s where the problem arises. It makes the rest of the bike look like crap if you don’t do the whole engine. it’s like getting a car with very faded paint, and just buffing just one door to make it look new, which actually highlights just how bad the rest of the faded car looks if you don’t do the whole engine . The guy in this video did a great job, and it is a lot of work, if that’s what you want..
