To be fair, there have been countless attempts at modernizing the TOS Enterprise by both fans and pros. It's clearly not an easy thing to do. I think Hunter's is far and away the most successful - a great work of art. And, I agree - this is what the Disco/SNW Enterprise should've been. What they delivered is not terrible, but not particularly exceptional over many other attempts.

@@huntarius-geraldo-giffarius i know where it's from, it's just completely the wrong music to use. Nothing exciting or actiony is happening yet the score implies something like the pod racing from phantom menace is happening.

Why do you think it looks dated? Use some critical thinking. “Let’s face it, it’s almost 60 years old” means nothing when we’re talking about a futuristic spaceship design. The Millenium Falcon is 47 years old, Star Wars fan revere that design and consider it a legacy ship. We’ve seldom seen the original TOS Enterpirse with much surface detail and lit in a modern way. I don’t feel it needs to be revised, just rendered and lit with modern sensibilities.

I personally think if any CG shots are added to a remaster, they should match the look of the rest of the show. That's why I don't like the current CG remaster, it doesn't mesh with the 60's tech. They should make the CG look like the studio model, just with better quality and a bit more detail to match any upscaling they do for the rest of the shots. That said, I do want to replicate more shots from the show, especially the title sequence.

@@huntarius-geraldo-giffarius understandable. I usually prefer remastering older works as long as they're faithful to the originals, but the TOS remasters look like PS3 quality renders. They need a bit more love.

All images are rendered in 1080p, because all I have is an older laptop so a 4k image takes hours.

Trust me I would, but an 8 second animation like this takes over 20 hours to render. That's not counting re-rending and troubleshooting, because something always goes wrong. This model is very taxing, especially on my old laptop.

Much much better than that Jar Jar Abrahms abomination!!!
