So this video was shot from a mountainside next to the airfield?
@RogerHJorgАй бұрын
Yes, mountains to your left, to your right and to your back. ... and a lake to your front. If I remember correctly, the US pilots refused to land on this airport ("impossible to land in such a narrow valley") when they delivered the planes to the Swiss Airforce. But that may have been a other airport or even the plane generation before the F/A-18.

I love the park bench right beside the taxiway. You can sip a coffee and enjoy the quiet as well as the occasional F/A-18 cruising by.

Why not leave the trees, in a few years they would've rotted, we see it in our area all the time.
@eub3323 ай бұрын
In this particular case, the trees were removed from a landslide area that threatened a village - this made drainage work in the landslide area possible and prevents water from backing up. An other common reason for helicopter logging are bark beetles, which multiply extremely in too much dead wood and then threaten healthy trees.

Imposant . Was kostet 1 flugminute ? Flugzeit ?
@miskaknapek3 ай бұрын
@@MrWale58 ausgezeichnete Frage! Wie viele NH-90-Benutzer festgestellt haben, gibt es 1. Treibstoffkosten und 2. Ersatzteilkosten.
