the background music is overpowering the dialogue, I have no idea what's being said!
@DerekBoyes4 ай бұрын
It's not so much the music, it's the fact that the sound was recorded from an on-camera mono microphone that was for the most part, too far away from the actors. Some of the soundtrack is not even from the original source, but from a VHS copy of a VHS copy - hence all the hiss.

What, for a seventeen year-old with 1990's camcorder?! I bloody well risked my life (and the rest of the cast) making that film! Took me two years of teenage sweat! ...I did get better!

Terrific image quality and atmosphere in this video, Derek. Seeing this has made me look more closely at how I’m taking my own videos at home. KZbin turns you into a ‘picture sharpness’ and ‘volume junkie’ chasing an audience, but after meeting you this morning, I’ve been having a play around with one of my cameras just to see whether it’s capable of helping me to get this ‘buttery’ image that you’re getting here. Really lovely. Must look more into the design my own videos and image quality rather than churning out KZbin videos just to earn pin money! Pleasure to have met you this morning in Crockham Hill. You certainly know your stuff and produce really inspirational work. World of video/film isn’t fair to everyone! (Mind you, neither is the Music business!!) Cheers Ian

From the first time I saw this movie at the theatres it has always been my most favorite Indiana Jones movie.

Lucky you! I was still too young to see this one in the cinema, but I did see Last Crusade in the cinema opening weekend with my parents and it blew my mind. Temple rocks, but Crusade is my favorite.

@@Dude-oh8vq I'm not kidding you, I even called the TV stations to find out when they were going to be playing the commercials on TV so I could record them. And then made a collection of the behind the scenes showing the making of the movie so I could see the scenes they showed until I could rent it.

Holy Cow the detail and picture style looks like it could be straight out of either a 90s or early 00s movie or tv series, and then that final scene with all the succumbing of grief & helplessness. Strong stuff 👍

Pretty decent considering you made this thirty years ago on what looks like a zero budget.

Came over here from Ifilmthings. I watched both Blackout and Last Night. Both very well structured narratives with recollection of memory really fitting the noir style of the films. I like the mood and atmosphere of both too. Great work on both shorts.

Paul Copley has to be one of the most recognisable actors on British TV despite 99% of people not knowing his name. If not a national treasure he's certainly one of our hidden gems
