I love the game and find it strangely relaxing. If you can ignore the vehicle physics, that is... Not sure if you already noticed, but decorations (and scaffolding) can be bought with points, but it can also be crafted with the materials you gathered on the map. Normally you should have more than enough materials on every map to decorate it to your heart's content. As far as I remember, when I played the placement of decorations did not matter that much - but it was just before full release, so it might have changed. Still adding a couple decorations takes just a moment and can earn you that extra star/skill point for each map and make your work easier as you go along.

I didn't really learn that you could use the materials to craft until the second episode. Although the game is great sadly it is one that gives me a headache so I can only play for a short period and usually decorating is just one of things I skip over. Bulldozer is the best demo tool though.

I found this on the PlayStation network. I think I paid about 15 pounds ( 20 Dollars) for it. What a great little game. Makes a change from other games I play
