You gotta work on your clean technique, because with that much weight you can easily get injured with current technique

Your nordic bench is quite a piece of equipment. It clearly offers more options then the baseblock nordic curl bench.
@kettlebellken10 күн бұрын
@davidwagner9644 it offers alot 7 or 8 exercises ... not cheap but excellent quality

I’m jealous of that machine. It would be fun if you tied a band to a pull-up bar above you and then you could really lower yourself down with it on your chest
@davidwagner964410 күн бұрын
The purpose of the machine is to gradually get stronger and gradually lower the angle until the bench is parallel to the floor. The machine is so you don't need to use bands.
@allstrongfitness10 күн бұрын
@@davidwagner9644I suppose I’m not referring to Ken, but someone with extremely weak hamstrings, or someone who still can’t control themselves going down at the highest level would benefit from bands as well.
@davidwagner96449 күн бұрын
@@allstrongfitness The nordic benches which angle like the one in the video are made so beginners to the nordic curl can safely practice the nordic curl without injury and grain strength as the range of motion is drastically reduced. As one gets stronger, one lowers the angle of the bench, increasing the range of motion and the difficulty.
@allstrongfitness9 күн бұрын
@@davidwagner9644again, I understand that’s the purpose of it, but perhaps you’ve never seen or known someone who, even with a very regressed version of an exercise, still can’t do the exercise. If somebody got on the machine at the easiest setting and couldn’t do it, would you tell them “guess you’ll never be able to do a Nordic” The bands would make it even more accessible is my point. Again, not saying Ken would need it, but it would be interesting to see, say an 80 year old try it with the extra assistance and regressed angle
@davidwagner96449 күн бұрын
@@allstrongfitness if they cannot use the bench, they probably shouldn't be doing it with bands either. It is an advanced bodyweight exercise reserved for advanced people. Also, just doing the eccentric portion is often better to start with for every one as you are roughly 1/3 stronger in the eccentric portion. The reason I do not like bands is people cheat with them. They use the elasticity of the band to propell them. You see it all the time with banded pullups at the bottom they don't come to a full stop so they really aren't gaining strength necessary to do a pullup.

You can say my form is not perfect... but Kettlebells are used in a ballistic format and when you consider how physics affect a tall & thin frame like myself 180lbs & almost 6'5" I need to harness the requisite power & momentum from the hip drive yet maintain my balance it's a fine line... anyways you'll find everyone has slightly different techniques.
