@@Bang4BuckPCGamer Why did you decide that this is a joke, did you conduct testing? Stutters on Unreal 4-5 depend on single-core processor performance. For 285K, it is 20% higher than for 9800x3D. x3D cache increases FPS in games only where it is already high. This is how cache works - Cache is NOT CORE PERFORMANCE. It is acceleration of already performed calculations. Level loading calculations causing stutters cannot be cached, which is why 9800x3D cannot handle with stutters in games on Unreal 4-5, but 285K can.

For the 14900KS a custom loop is worth it. I use one and can keep the temps under control even when drawing over 350W. An AIO has no chance.

Currently I’m using 14900KS and I was thinking to upgrade from 14900KS to 9800x3d, so is it worth upgrading and also I play games at 1440p. P.S: Im also using RTX 4090 and 14900KS temps are quite normal while gaming…

And for that same reason the 9800X3D is not worth the upgrade for you.

How smooth does the game run now? I remember in 1 boss section (with the bed monster) I'd have fps dips down to 30fps with a 5800X3D and 4090. Some areas even in buildings had massive stutter like the hotel or later parts of the hospital.

I am using FSR Native 4K with frame generation. You must be using FSR upscaling and frame generation.
