Had the opportunity to spend a few hours on the water with Brad a couple weeks back and he is as advertised. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Greatly appreciate the insight he shared that day as well as in these videos. Keep up the great work fellas!

Best part about Eye Candy plastics is they do not die. Easiest way to afford the short shank tungsten jigs.

Was trolling spinners yesterday. One 3" minnow caught my limit, and will hopefully catch more.

What size rod, power and action are you using?
@bigfah25064 күн бұрын
I’d say a big MH something like a Steez Bottom Contact II or a GLoomis 894. Action is probably fast. Length between 7’4-7’6

curious what scent you might've used?
@FJB24710 күн бұрын
I’m still using the 4 inch northland smelt minnow, for me it outfishes the eye candy 5-1. Had a trip on millacs earlier this year where it was more like 10-1. Other guys in boat were using eye candy and the smelt minnow was dominant, and I’m guessing guys are adding scent to the eye candy is because the smelt minnow will out fish it most days as they are already scented from factory.

The heat is killing mine. Was 90 outside and they were in my storage in boat and 1/2 were junk. I do love them but have to be cold weather and water baits. Good for the company I assume.

Love the information provided on this channel but how come the fish catching videos never show the cadence and the hookset? The fishing portions always start with the fish already on the line.

Great vid but they are mostly sold out up here in Canada. Both the eye candy and the tungsten jigs.

Spent $125 on eye candy’s and I love them but they melt easily and get dis-formed so fast! It’s hard justifying using them in the future tbh
@dionbrandt617611 күн бұрын
Interesting? That the melting point is so low.
@JimmiFader11 күн бұрын
@@dionbrandt6176 yeah that caught me by surprise I mean I’m out for a max of 4hrs (normally 2-3) in high 70 to low 80 degree weather and I rigged up a bunch of combos with jigs and tossed them back in the eye candy bag in my backpack sitting on a dock and by the time I got home 6 of them had tails melted off
@dionbrandt61769 күн бұрын
@@JimmiFader wow - something I have not been aware of, I had not heard that there may be a problem with melting on the the new plastics. I will definitely look into it.

How do you get the eye candy plastics over the bait keeper that seems close to impossible
@NorthlandFishingTackle11 күн бұрын
Here is video that shows how to rig Eye-Candy Soft Plastics! The key is to stretch the material way over the keeper, even past the head and snapping it in to place. facebook.com/reel/732939442046855

I have these jigs and have been using them. Honestly, the hooks in these jigs aren’t the best, they need to make them with a gamakatsu hook like the smeltinator and marabou jigs. Also, the red eyes fall off pretty quick. I give this jig a 6 out of 10.

Let's see these promoted lures work without any LS . I have a LS and I will not stare down all day at a screen while fishing in a boat. I rather enjoy the day.

I have always used bass colouring for walleye lures and plastics. This spring however I have slayed on some bright plastics. I think this spring has opened me up to the idea of having a dark colour and a bright in your face colour tied on at the same time. This has been a good opener for me in northern Alberta.

Here are some tips for handling and releasing fish: Use wet hands: Wetting your hands helps keep the fish's slime coat intact and prevents bacteria growth. Handle gently: Avoid squeezing the fish, touching its eyes, or putting your fingers in its gills. Keep the fish in the water: The longer a fish is out of the water, the lower its chance of survival. Release headfirst: When you do need to handle the fish, release it gently and headfirst. Use a release tool: Use a dehooker, recompression tool, or rubberized landing net to minimize handling. Support the fish's weight: Support the fish's weight along the length of its body. Avoid hanging the fish: Never suspend the fish by its mouth or lip. Resuscitate a sluggish fish: Face the fish into the current until it regains strength.
