This is a very beautiful building. But I don’t love that it seems you criticizing Americans”we are dealing with Americans”. Plus it sounds like you have an American accent yourself- and what’s wrong with a nice bathroom?
@mariarohmer23742 күн бұрын
Excuse me, why can't an American criticized Americans? Are we perfect? God no. In a lot of cases Americans are arrogant, entitled, spoiled and not open or accepting of change or differences. Have you ever watched House Hunters International? You'll find most Americans relocating to another country acting very critical about anything not resembling their familiar comforts. Things are different in other countries and that's the way it is. it doesn't always make it worse. It's just different. For the record he didn't even criticize. He made note of something. Why are you so sensitive and triggered by a nothing-burger? GMAB.

I watched the entire video and I did no hear him criticize Americans. He just mentioned hat Americans like comfort and that they (Americans, who happen to be the current owners of the building) remodeled the bathrooms in such way so that they are comfortable.
@RichardBarnett-hs1qy21 сағат бұрын
Not a criticism, just a fact, Americans like their creature comforts, especially if they can afford them.

He referred to the American influence as wonderful - bathroom, showers everywhere - wonderful 9.26.
@fayepeden105913 сағат бұрын
you misunderstood. He was saying the bathrooms are so nice precisely because the current owners are Americans - who started that whole 'bathroom for each resident' thing. It is not that long ago - 1994 that I stayed in a small apartment in the middle of Paris where there was no bathroom in the entire building. Each apartment ( basically a room with bed, clothes storage, chairs, desk, kitchenette had a basin to wash in and clean teeth etc. and there was a toilet (squat type) down the corridor to be used by all residents on that floor. Residents went to public baths or gyms for their shower. In 1994 most toilets in coffee shops etc were squat ones. in England, it is only in recent years that guests not staying in the most exclusive and expensive hotels expect their own ensuite bathroom. All through the 80s and 90s when stating in B&Bs and cheap hotels I used shared bathrooms down the hallway. A room with its own bathroom was considered exclusive. Expectations have changed a lot in 25 years.

Amazing place for Paris. It almost seems like it’s in the country. One question though, how do you get your car into that garage? I assume the big metal gate opens right the way up but the driveway seems so narrow.
@roberttycenparisproperties4668 Жыл бұрын
Hello! Thank you for your comment and question. The garage is much larger than it seems and houses several cars for the buildings around it, and therefore there is plenty of room to move around once inside. :-) The house in question (which has been sold now) has 2 designated places within that larger garage with the possibility to close it off as well. But again, plenty of room inside to pull the car out and drive in.

Do people "stage" homes in Paris, as they do in US? (Actually, I think staging started in CA.) This home would benefit from that. Put outdoor furniture on deck to emphasize it's another living room. Personal opinion: I would paint red brick exterior to match upper floors. That would make the entire building more cohesive. Nice job, Robert Tycen Hauser.
@roberttycenparisproperties46683 жыл бұрын
Hello! It's not as common as it is in the USA, but they do do it sometimes, and with an apartment that is already empty. As it is this lovely lady has lived there with her husband for some 17 years and difficult to get rid of a lot of the clutter... It would be nice to even get it empty, so that people could use their imaginations for their own deco!
@huub19893 жыл бұрын
My thoughts exactly. Could be more enticing to have staged it a little, hard to see through the clutter. Lovely balcony/terrace.
@roberttycenparisproperties46683 жыл бұрын
@@huub1989 The real selling point is the terrace for sure, and more rare in Paris. The people live there so it's kind of delicate to suggest it, and because it is not such a French thing... Robert Tycen Paris Properties Yes the image is small and you can’t make it bigger. I just watched your Gervais 1930s townhouse video and it’s the same problem. The intro when you’re outside looks great but then when you go inside the camera or the phone is made vertical and it’s a very small image that won’t enlarge on my tablet.
