I’d love to hear why people think this is a “banger”. While I agree that the 1st and 3rd phases are both great, the second phase honestly feels bland and unrealized. Not every single song in every single game needs to have the greatest solo known to man, but it would have been nice to see them try just a little bit more here. Am I wrong? I really don’t mean to come off as ungrateful. It’s a great track for probably my favorite boss fight. But any time I hear the 2nd phase outside of gameplay, it just feels ok. I really appreciate the hard work the developers put into both this game, and its music, but I’m failing to see what others are seeing in this track? I understand the references are cute and all, but that’s basically it. Some people pointed out the timpani is going crazy, but that essentially the timpanists job. The Piano is doing an ok job during this phase. It’s basically a few chords and then the Skydiving tremolo theme. Other than that, it’s just references. It’s really not bad at all, and I’m glad that some really enjoy it. But for me personally, it doesn’t even come close to songs that are actually quite similar to it, like “Dark Beast Ganon Battle”, from BotW, and “Carrying the Wieght of Life” from Xenoblade Chronicles 3. These both have the same general structure of Demon Dragon, but are executed more interestingly. Beautiful Guitar/Flute solos for Carrying the Weight of Life, and badass Piccolo and Piano solos for Dark Beast Ganon. Demon Dragon doesn’t have anything like that, and it kinda makes me sad, considering the game is made by the same development team.

I think this is one of the most emotional moments in a Zelda game. The changing of the music, the classic Zelda theme and the fact it mirrors the start of the game, but this time Link catches Zelda. Ah it's perfect!

I am not even a big Zelda fan, and yet, the entire Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom storyline is one of the best stories I think I have ever seen. Along with this being the best Zelda ending that I have seen. I cried during this scene. It takes a lot to make me cry.

I am in awe of how amazing this games cinematic moments can be. It turned what I consider to be an ass pull, plot wise, into something I like simply because of its execution At this point, link knows fully what happened. And this is his chance to fix his mistake. The fact that he failed to catch Zelda underground meant that she had to give up her own life for God knows how long. To the point he legitimately likely thought she was completely gone. Now, after everything he's been through, the fight with Ganon and everything, he's earned a second chance And he won't waste it.

I actually really like that this game puts finding Zelda in particular front and center. It makes for a more personal and emotional story. BoTW is about saving the world, but in the beginning, Zelda is no more than a mysterious voice and the relationship between Link and Zelda is clearly early days in flashbacks. Meanwhile, ToTK is, at its core, a lot more about Link and Zelda's enduring faith in and dedication to each other. The rest of the plot is just the driver pulling them apart and bringing them back together. You can tell even from the beginning scenes that there is a familiarity and affection there, from them having spent time together and worked on rebuilding the kingdom side by side. This is not only such a triumphant moment of redemption for Link, but a genuinely touching reunion between two people who have been on separate journeys headed in the same direction, waiting to finally meet again.

Playing this for the 1st time, and immediately realizing it was a callback to the start of the game, with the music and craziness of the past couple battles and scenes, i was in the mindset of "Have to save her, have to save her. Please just go go go!" I never once had the goofy thoughts of "What if we both just hit the Ground?" Or "Can i just make Link fall 500 miles in a different direction?", I was ready to finally save Zelda, after all i been through in this adventure of a story. That right there, is the emotional pull this game delivers to the player. Easily a 10 out of 10 game, with a fantastic 10 out of 10 story, and 10 out of 10 Ending!!
