i know the feeling of not having the funds for fireworks. i'd say save up about $45 and get yourself a bronzamatic map torch. ( the yellow plumber's torch ). they are 10 time better than the little butane torches. but still keep your little one as a back up. you will not regret buying the bigger one. yea its about $25 for a regular size can of yellow map gas but it will last you a long time.

Crackling balls are much better in the air just put a piece of masking tape around the two halves of the crackling ball and trim the fuse to about half and toss it
