@xanadudawn yes, that was when I was at school. I also had the choice of a 44, 77, and route 80 /80A to school from the cricketers stop in Mitcham to, and on Sunday. Route 88 was extended to Bansted Hospital

@HenrysAdventures thanks! I was going over to the other platform until I saw it was running late and passing at the same time as the Reading bound train, but it seems to all worked out

Aqua 28 runs along the same route between Reading and Henley as Carousel Buses service 800. I don't understand this, Carousel also operated service 800 between Reading and High Wycombe, along the same route as Arriva operated their service 800.

If you're into trains, boats, and the coast this is a beautiful walk. In fact the Ex Estuary Trail from Exmouth to Teignmouth is all great scenery, whether you walk or take the train

Hi Bill I see GWR has a new timetable from the 2nd June. You should see more trains along the sea wall over the summer, though some are programmed as "run as required " on RTT

Was quite amazed, winter yes, but this time of year? I got a bit wet, but some people were well and truly soaked.. and of course, the salt doesn't help the camera

Yeah I had another go at the sea wall walk in the next two days...no rain but the high tide and the wind I got wet again 🤣 but got some good film of the trains and a really good idea how bad it can get down there in winter ...still enjoying your videos Bill .. I'm hoping to get back down soon, but I expect Devon Tourist boad would rather I stay away as it always rains 🌧 🙂

Cheers, Bill, as we get older, we need to keep the body moving & the mind occupied ...one thing about walking a bus route is you can always get on the bus if it rains or your tired 😉 but glad I captured your dentist 😀 ..not down your way again till April, must say I quite like Devon and you should have all the trains running again now

I hear the 701s are on my line but only to Windsor at the moment, then again the 455 when you board it looks just the same, nothing new & shiny inside 😕

I saw the unit on the down track at Wimbledon this mornihng at about 1030, must have been another Chessington service. It looks better than the class 701s I saw at Wimbledon depot when I passed there a couple of years ago!!

I think June would be a better time than February 😆 you should have great weather, I just pop down there now again, as you said, a great place, infact the whole of the Ex Estuary Trail all the way around to Exmouth is a fab spot for amazing little stations and views
