Many thanks for the breathtaking impressions! We have already completed the Ring Road and are now planning the Westfjords. The whale in the Fjord was awesome! We got lots of new tips for our road trip. It looks like you had a lot of good weather with sunshine. Haven't you seen any Puffins in Latrabjarg? And what time were you at Dynjandi? There are no other people there.
@svenskstrawanzer6 ай бұрын
Makes me happy that you like the video. Yes, with the whale we were so lucky and it was so impressive. It seems that I'm always lucky with the weather :) This trip was in September, so all the Puffins have been left already. Latest mid of August they are leaving out to the sea. We have been in June/July 2020 with no people due to Corona and in September 2021 we were in the highland and the Westfjords with very less people. Last year I did a hike on Hornstrandir, the best hike I ever did, with dreamlike weather and more or less completely alone. Wish you an amazing unforgettable trip.

Road 622 looked more than intimidating in a vehicle. This peninsula isn't photographed as much, thanks for sharing.
@svenskstrawanzer6 ай бұрын
That's right, the 622 can be intimidating when you're driving along the steep slopes and there are boulders on the road. I had great respect for the tidal section, which can look different after every tide. The large wet pebbles in particular were not easy to drive on, and you can no longer call it a road.
@jeffroussell6 ай бұрын
@@svenskstrawanzer Landscapes shown here are not covered in other vids very often, looked awesome... if it was a hike, not sure about driving much of the 622

only few hikes in this video (e.g. 21:18 Látrabjarg, 22:33 Hafnarmúli) which landscapes do you mean? I think it's not necessary to drive 622, there are so many other amazing places in the Westfjords which you can reach without any risk.
