Can anyone say how much differnt this one would be vs a budget hard kayak like a pelican?
@OzinPictures
@OzinPictures 2 ай бұрын
I haven't paddled a pelican so I can't say for sure but it compares favourably to my ride on top kayak. They aren't cheap but the space saving makes them convenient if you don't have a lot of space. What I should add however is you do need to find a place to dry them properly before putting them away for a period of time.

I had one of these in Alaska and now have two of them in Florida. Very convenient and stable. I've run Class 2 rivers and used it as a platform for bird photography. The big compromise is cleaning and drying after being in muddy water, especially in a humid environment where mold is inevitable unless you have a dehumidified storage area.

Hello. I really appreciate this detailed video. What are the viewing angles? Which one has a wider viewing angle? My second question: Which nose chamber is suitable for a large nose?There is currently a micromax x model on the market. And its inner nasal barrier is so low as to be almost non-existent. That's why when I try micromax x, there is a fog problem. I wonder if Minima is more suitable for my big nose. due to the thicker inner, lateral nasal barrier. There is also cressi quantum, what do you think of it? Quantum or minima in spearfishing?

What a lovely video , we are going on the Ghan soon. My only question is do they have public toilets outside the cabins? The trip will be a birthday present to each other for the next 20 years, ha ha. 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃

I actually don't recall. I think I only ever used the one in our cabin but I suspect there must have been. Probably a question for the company. The Ghan used to have another more budget class you could travel in but now it's just Gold and Platinum. So bearing that in mind I suspect the common areas probably do. I just don't recall.

The Mares X- vision was the first mask I used when I first started diving and I really really like it ! But the Aqualung Sphera is my favorite ever diving mask, because it fits perfectly on my face, I really do love this mask. I mostly snorkel and free dive

There is NO comparison between an Austral 24 and a Hood 23, especially one of the less produced centreboard models. He has missed the primary question.what are we intending to do with this boat vice what does it have?

At minute 13. Alarm bells go off. I want to buy a boat. Of course the commentary doesn't answer a simple question. Can you sail? It is apparent there are a lot of unanswered questions here but this attitude is not good. Decades ago, I was racing out of Middle Harbour Yacht Club and during the course of the race became aware of a 20ft yacht, 2people aboard on a steady tide driven northerly heading. We passed them several times and they were not reacting to traffic nor at any stage was the tiller being used or the sails trimmed. At end of race time, near the bridge, boats were clearing the water and as we sailed back into Middle Harbour that boat was heading straight for North Head. As soon as I got alongside I went to the local RVCP. Later I was told they had towed the boat back up the harbour. It seems that morning they had decided to buy a boat, went on to the Boat column in the SMH found a boat gave the owner money. He hoisted the sails, hove in the main sheet and pushed them off. I wonder how many have done the same.

I'm not entirely sure what point you are trying to make. You can spend all day perusing sailing channels and the conclusion most people come to is that every one of us is on a journey. It's pretty common for people to take up an activity with limited knowledge and they learn as they go and make mistakes too and most of us are happy to share those mistakes with others. It's part of the journey. As it turned out, while keel boats and trailer sailers were new to me I did have a background racing sailboards in my youth and was quite competitive in it and I also sailed most dinghies albeit that was just for fun. My partner at the time had no sailing background at all but both of us embraced this adventure and we enjoyed it. I learnt a lot and don't regret it and while I haven't documented it recently am pretty familiar with my boat now. Came close to getting a blue water boat recently but put that on hold for the moment.

Absolutely fantastic little boat with heaps of flat deck area and heaps of cockpit space. Many happy years sailing my father's in the 70s. Got a 38 footer now myself but sometimes yearn for the simplicity of the Hood. Ours was a pop top. If you go off shore I would be adding at least 4 extra dog latches to make sure it could never fall off even if briefly inverted. I would also make sure it has a new thick functional rubber seal.

I believe 1991 was a different Brindabella albeit with the same number. I would actually be interested to know what happened to that boat as everyone talks about the Jutson hull. I've been doing a bit of research after your message because I didn't realise that George Snow was the skipper of both. Now I'm curious to find out more about the former and where it is (if it still exists).
@amay02ify
@amay02ify Жыл бұрын
@@OzinPictures 1991 Brindabella was a Farr 65 hull that was replaced by the Juston 72' hull in 1993 which was later lengthened to 75' and then 80' As far as I know, the Farr 65 was sold to Martin James who renamed it and campaigned it as Infinity III and as part of the sale George picked up Infinity II (Beneteau First 45) as a family cruiser.

It may be a bit snug for really tall people but I can't be sure. What I will say is that Advanced Elements have a whole range of Inflatable Kayaks and if the Advanced Frame doesn't provide enough leg room then you will likely find one of their longer sea kayak models more suitable.

Thanks for the thorough demo and review. Excellent! (I currently have the AE Lagoon, but I'm giving it to the kids. The Lagoon has a lot of great qualities, but tracking isn't one of them. It tracks terribly). I just ordered one of these for myself, but curious about something: The AE Frame reviewed last year by Ken at Paddle TV has a clear numbers sequence for inflation on the valves, but I don't see that on your boat. Did they discontinue that practice of numbering chambers?
