Ok, I want one of these. Grainy video is not a problem when you use your mind to understand the content--and this video from nine years ago taught me a thing or two. Very well presented! Nowadays we see multimeters with beautiful graphs etc but this old-school reminder of what a multimeter really does is great. The one thing I really miss from the modern DMMs is the LAN connections, which is an understandable omission from back in the day.

The biggest problem I'm having with my jdsu hst-3000 is locating partial opens and shorts. If I'm correct the jdsu is not able to do this. So could I do a high leak test to blow the partial open into a complete open and so use my PET to locate the distance now to the full open and could this also break a short on the line? Cheers
