That’s a good question cause like never needing to do car repairs will save you money too. I’d ask if insurance is included in that. And if fast food is included in “groceries” just to see but groceries is probably gonna be the better deal

Average car payment is $900 and up. If you buy today! All vehicles are 45k and up. No I’m not talking about stupid Corolla’s that cost $35k Don’t forget insurance. You only have to have oil changes to maintain. Not tires. For those 3 years. Groceries cost $250 a week. That’s with a family of 3 Yeah I’ll choose the vehicle. No stress about major upkeep.

So.. depends on what the odds are. One website might say u get one set of odds for the dodgers winning and another website might have better odds of the dodgers winning. So it's technically possible to bet on the same match, bet on both sides, and whoever wins, u profit. Assuming u can find websites with differences in favorable odds. Profit wouldn't be much though.

Even in a straight up Yankees vs Dodgers series bet; betting 5k on the dodgers would win you a little less than 5k and Yankees win you a little over 5k

The country would mostly go back to same levels of wealth and poverty because as long as you have a choice on how to spend your money, some will spend wisely and some will spend poorly. Universal income would not create more freedom. It would only create more dependency on the government and give the government even more control, therefore reducing freedom.

The implication that nothing would change if everyone in the world was making the same amount of money despite 75k being significantly higher than what workers around the world are currently making on average is wild to me. This lady is privileged and/or has very little critical thinking skills

It’s you who lacks critical thinking. If everyone made 75k/year then no one group of people would have more money than another group. If you’re incapable of realizing the devastating implications that would have on the price of goods and services than maybe you should go back to school. The reason I can afford that 100k truck and you can’t is because I have a job that pays in the upper quartile of wages and you are in the bottom with your less credentialed job. The price of that 100k truck has settled to that value such that only people in that upper range can afford it. If everyone made the same amount (75k/yr) then no one would be able to afford that truck because the supply is low (it takes more capital to produce relative to others vehicles) but the demand is maximum (since no one group stands out about another it means everyone has the same purchasing power).
