Thanks for this guide! New FB Healer and this is very helpful. Quick question, why Harrier's over say, Minstrel?
@rooble220413 күн бұрын
Main reason is so you aren't forced into tanking, and there's no other stat set that gives both healing and boon duration (without toughness) without missing out on a lot of one or the other. If you're an experienced tank, givers everything with minstrel weapons is about perfect concentration IIRC, and if you're confident in your boon upkeep and want the extra vitality and healing power, full minstrel works fine.

No scourge is still the carrier, and it'll still have an easier time carrying players by single handle mitigating dmg more effectively, what scg lacks in utility is compensated from other classes, druid is still capable.

Im interested that you say fractal groups ask for firebrands, I'm less than 1000 hours in the game but I do fracs everyday and it veeeery rare I see firebrands on heal. Why are they considered good in fracs?
@rooble22042 ай бұрын
In general, fractal challenge modes have either very large damage hits that can be blocked with Aegis, and/or a lot of knockdowns/interrupts on the party. For a long time, firebrand was the only healer that could conceivably cover all the blocks/stability for pug strats. Now, you'll find that chrono is kind of stealing Firebrand's pie, but the fractal meta is super slow to move and adapt, so firebrand still tends to be picked. Outside of fractals, firebrand is definitely a lot less common, but no less good

@rooble22042 ай бұрын
It just lets us cap out boon duration. By no means necessary if you're comfy on monk runes, but that clean 100% boon duration makes minmax brain happy.

Loving your guides! They're coming at a time when I'm looking to pick a class for healing. Firebrand is on my shortlist. Any thoughts on heal alac specter you wouldn't mind previewing? I haven't seen much content about this build... which might be telling lol.
@rooble22042 ай бұрын
Specter's basically been borderline for a very long time. That is, you could play it and do fine if you were dedicated to learning it, but only if you put in the time/effort. It definitely asks for more from the player than any other healer. I'd still say its the most complex healer in the game, but as of the most recent balance patch, its performance is muuuuuch higher. Where it used to be a struggle to heal a couple of the harder fights in the game, it's now perfectly competitive with other options. Also thanks a bunch for the kind words, it's awesome to know these guides are helping
@LucidTalents2 ай бұрын
Healspecter is borderline S tier now in my opinion
@rooble22042 ай бұрын
I'd say that's a pretty fair statement, I am pretty sure it puts out more barrier than even a healscourge right now, as well as a ton of other good bits like massive CC and stab/resistance uptime

Any heal engi would be cool ur pick on mech or scrapper. Heal scrapper is a bit rare though would be cool to see a guide on it
@rooble22042 ай бұрын
It's low on the prio list, but scrapper will definitely happen! It's a super duper fun healer, it was actually the first guide script I wrote near the start of the year. I'm trying to cover the more popular builds first so when I share something a little spicier people know I'm not full of shit. Mech probably gonna happen first for that reason

As a druid player, I like this video. but I recommend boon pets (tiger, jungle stalker) for beginners. Iboga can do damage, but for heal dps, untamed is far better. Druid can focus purely on support. Also recommend Spirit of nature for revive skill for beginners. If you have to wait for avatar form, because cd or ancestral force, then you need more time to revive. While spirit just res 5 people (or 10) instantly. Also check out Frost spirit. It has blast finisher, gives resolution and resistance. It is very good against condition heavy fight. Preventing chill, fear, slow, blind and reduce condition damage can really improve some fight ;)

5:29 a lot of healers can do 6k dps on Golem including full Givers HAM who does 8k in full harriers and 10k with few trait/utility swaps. Rifle PAM (Power Alac Mechanist) is better at TD Pushing (Tormented Dead) in W5 SH (Raid Wing 5 the first boss Soulless Horror) than Druid who usually is the third healer in low KP groups (Kill Proof, 50KP or less), high KP groups (100kp or more) use Tank Push which technically is better but harder in many ways. How to Rifle PAM the TD in W5 SH: -Tell everyone to ignore the TD. No help. No push. No pull. No CC. No Damage. Nothing, unless it is in the squad. -Set the Mech's commands on auto-cast. -Set the Mech on passive and use F6 while targeting Soulless Horror. this makes the Mech to stay on Soulless Horror giving boons to everyone. -40% Boon duraion 45% Crit Chance. We want to over cap because we might not be around the Mech when F2 F3 trigger causing them to have longer cooldowns. -Based on preference use either PBR (Personal Battering Ram) or Flamethrower Kit to initiate the Push. -Follow up with delayed Rifle 4. If people are helping you it kinda forces you to push as fast as you can. -Follow up with delayed Rifle 3. Timing is when TD is about to start stand up. -Force Signer is panic push if you need the extra push, takes experience to know when to use. -Shift Signet used for jumping over Firewalls when needed. -Rifle 5 used to jump back to Desmina. -Rifle 2 is spammed off cooldown. -The DPS I do is ~11k on Soulless Horror and ~15k total. -Don't use Overclock signet as it lowest the cooldown of Force signet and Shift Signet when you happen to use them.

Very nice guide, would totally recommend to a beginner druid! One small thing about stone spirit - with the amount of protection that already you generate with default build (glyphs, mace 3, pet f2), you can afford to delay its usage to cover aegis for mechanics
