I love, love this episode. It not only contains wonderful and very helpful contents, but it also shows in abundance your great love and fondness for your mom. This episode brings back many memories of my late mother. She and my father travelled extensively until their late 70s when their health started to decline and were rather restricted to where they could travel to and what they could do. I had always wanted to bring my mom over to London to spend summer with me but I was not sure whether she could make the 13+ hour flight here! From my parents, I have learned a valuable lesson that travelling is physically demanding; it is something you must do whilst you can, and enjoy it when you are not burdened by any worries and the sky is blue! I also have two small hand dyed stuffed animals, which I bought at great expense from the Japan House in London! I wonder whether they are from Takayama. They made me smile every time I look at them. Thank you for sharing yet another wonderful episode. I will definitely visit Takayama when we go to Kanazawa.

Hello. I was moved to tears when I heard the episode with you and your parents. Yes, it did. We should travel while we can. My mother had a fall in her room in October and had to have surgery and hospitalization, she can no longer walk by herself. A short trip to the high mountains was her last trip. Since we live far away from each other, I would like to take a walk around the neighborhood in my wheelchair when the weather gets warmer. Both Kanazawa and Takayama are compact tourist spots, so I think I can walk leisurely. Thanks for your comments❤️

I am sure your mom will appreciate the time you spend with her, even if it is just having a snack or tea or talking about everyday life or trivial things. To all parents, it is the fact that you are with them that counts

@@amylo9445 Your kindness warmed my heart. I will be returning home to my mother again the day after tomorrow. I hope to see my mother's smile even if only a little.
Please keep taking us with you in your discoveries. I love the places you go to :)

@@AnneNilsson Hello. It was very delicious. I don't think I will be able to stop eating a lot this year. 😅Thanks again. I look forward to working with you again this year❤️
An excellent episode - lots of contents, very informative and very helpful. I visited Kanazawa many years ago when I just graduated from university on the recommendation of my Japanese classmate. I had very much enjoyed the city then. It was beautify and quaint, and had not yet been discovered by tourists. Now my daughter is graduating from university this year….. I very much hope to re-visit Kanazawa soon.

@@amylo9445 Hello. I understand you have been to Kanazawa. Since the Shinkansen bullet train opened, Kanazawa has quickly become a popular tourist destination. It is easy to get to Takayama and Shirakawa-go, a World Heritage site, by bus from Kanazawa. It is a little difficult to get there from Tokyo, so I would recommend adding it to your Kanazawa trip as a recommended plan. Please revisit if you have a chance. Thank you💕😊

Thank you for sharing this serene winter stroll through Kanazawa! ❄ The blend of seasonal delicacies and the charm of the snowy streets is simply captivating. Such a delightful way to experience the beauty of the season and the city's culture. 💕✨

Hello. Thanks for watching my video. Kanazawa in winter is one of those places where the snow and rain with a lot of moisture makes the footing difficult and the sky is a dreary color. There is also delicious food. Please visit if you have a chance. Thank you💕😊
I think KYO Amahare tea ceremony seems more authentic than SABI. Also, I just read the reviews of Sabi to find out more information and wasn't too impressed by some of the comments.

Hello. Thank you for watching my video. I go to a teahouse because I like the calming space, but I am not an expert in tea ceremony. sabi has cocktails, etc. and may be more modern since you mentioned that it is chaka-kaiseki. I really enjoyed all the Japanese sweets and the tea to go with them. Thanks for your comments😊

@@shushu-r I love Japanese desserts and tea, and I'm sure it tasted great at Sabi too. However, the negative comments left by some reviewers on their website weren't about the sweets and drinks, but rather their bad service and attitude by some of their staff towards foreigners. In any case, I'm glad to know you had a great time there, but I will be looking forward to the tea ceremony at Kyo Amahare 😋

@@SimplyK888 Hello. I see that you did. Thanks for letting me know, Sabi has several staff members and the reviewer was treated with poor service. I hope you have a wonderful wagashi and tea time. Thanks for your comment💕

@@ilanamoor3053 Hello. Thanks for watching my video. The red leaves in the rain are moist and very beautiful 🍁I thought the rain was nice too. I think the leaves would have been even more beautiful if it had been a week later, but it was still beautiful enough in Kyoto.🍁🍁🍂😊
Hola!
