Perfect song to show the connection of Country Music's real roots in Scotland. Later, influences from other places fed into the style, but at its core, it is old jigs and reels. His rendition on mandolin really creates an atmosphere.

wouldn't that be awesome??? I heard the old shows were filmed on reel to reel and it's not easy to transfer to digital... the old films are deteriorating... Such a shame...

@@WahdaMae it was put down on 1inch videotape, in stereo. I was Stage Manager or Assistant Director on every episode of I-40 and Pickin’. I was incredibly lucky to see some great music, but this was by far my favorite moment. I would love to have copies of the shows.
