Yes because Malinois has 99.9% and 001% German Shepherd, actually this dog is Belgian originally, in 1914 some German shepherds invaders are hybridized with Malinois shepherds, the breed was not recognized by Belgium he became Dutch by chance, he is the same as the shepherd Malinois in less intelligent and less physical, you can easily make a Dutch shepherd, a hybrid German Shepherd♂ Berger Malinois♀ and you always mated the hybrids with a malinois. It's easy enough but long.

Malinois and dutch Shepherd because the Malinois are from belgiem. And the dutch Shepherd is from the Nedherlands. Other woord for it is dutch. They are 2 different countrys. And the looks are kwa the seem. But dutch are only in farm. Never in a broun coot ore it's a mix. And they have different karekter. But I Love tham 2

Dutch shepherd breed is from the Netherlands not Belgium. The Malinois is from Belgium. All pure bred Dutchies have brindle stripes (silver, golden or dark) even long and wire hair types.

German shepherd working traits in a smaller more agile package

Actually Dutch shepherds are larger than German Shepherds from what I’ve seen in person. The German Shepherd is more bulky but the Dutch Shepherd is taller.

Mals and dutchies are more athletic. I never have seen a gsd jump over an 7 feet (2.10m) fence. Even a working GSD can't compete in agility with a dutch sheperd or Belgium Malinois. /watch?v=gQKcEyodQaM (with ease)
@aidankirby84126 жыл бұрын
Nonsense. GSDs compete in KNPV at the highest levels. Mals werent even considered as Cold War border protection dogs and were thought to be throw away dogs by the Germans who invented every great breed on earth

i say all of this jsut recently finding out what breed my dog was, i found maggie at about 8 weeks, and someone jsut mentioned to me after seeing a pic that she looked like a dutch, so im here on youtube looking up duch shepards, and yes sir, tha is exactly what she is... RIP Maggie P Maggie. I will always love you for ever baby girl.

the spinal problems led to complete paralysis of her rear end over a 2 yr peoriod.. for someone who lies to get and with their dogs an hike, play frisbee, take them swimming, you cannot beat a dutch shepard, what a joy of a dog to own... their intelligence is completely over the top, jsut one look and they know to never repeat a behavior again.. they will drive you crazy wanting to go, go, go.. make sure you have the time and energy before taking on one of these.
@jjohnsice12 жыл бұрын
i jsut lost my 14 yr old dutch, she was always the most athletic, and intelligent dog anywhere we went.. her nature was over the top playful, the comment i got most often was she was "human like" in her intelligence,i heard this repeatedly.. she lived in the city but would not be contained in a fence, so she lived freely in the city, a welcome guest at any neighbors home. such a joy to have, buty be careful with her athletics she did develope spinal problems around 12 yrs of age.

did I forget most GS can't climb but dutchie's excel
@Talonsage13 жыл бұрын
any trainer with a sane mind knows the dutch shepherd is not only more trainable but more intelligent than the GS..poor breeding aside..the GS can't swim, jump or think like a dutchie and never will unless they are a half breed.

@UltraFighter18 I would agree that the 'working' GSD is very different than the show dog variety and it was the show dog variety---the most common form here in the USA---that I consider "crippled" by bad breeding practices. There is no other breed that has established itself as a premier working breed to match a good working specimen of the GSD and I've been told that Euro bred GSDs are still quite sound. Sadly, here in the USA it is hard to find a good one. Belgian Malinois now replace them.
@UltraFighter1813 жыл бұрын
@JackKangaroo1 so the problem is with the athletics. The GSD is heavier than a dutch shepherd so in less athletic but stronger. The thing I disagree is that you called the GSD crippled. In this clip there is an athletic GSD watch?v=9ifhjs4I6cw and suggestions of the same dog. A working GSD is very athletic, fast, strong and agile. The show GSD's are leaving a bad impression about this breed. The military and police GSD's are the true ambassadors of this breed.
@JackKangaroo113 жыл бұрын
@UltraFighter18 Well then "UltraFighter" if you wanted to impress me with the athletic ability of the GSD why did you send me a video clip of an athletic Dutch Shepherd? Isn't that like demonstrating the sportiness of a Mazerati by sending a video of a Porsche?
@UltraFighter1813 жыл бұрын
@JackKangaroo1 take a look at this clip watch?v=MnXQ4XB-Zwk The German Shepherds are not crippled clearly you haven't seen a working GSD they are not like the show GSD. The GSD will always remain the number 1 military and police dog.

@lubbockboy1 It is good to hear that they can remain so active at such an old age. Jager has a toy drive that is just crazy and he has not had any injuries despite how hard he runs. We just got back from competing at the DockDiving World Championships in Oregon. Jager finished 4th in Speed Retrieve and 5th in Extreme Vertical. He is awesome. As you mentioned, he is VERY good natured and affectionate - especially when inside our home. We would LOVE to find a female to breed him with!

@lervin78 A good Doberman has that sort of energy level also. Dobies aren't used much as working dogs anymore though, partly because their short coats don't give them all-weather protection in winter. But a good Dobie can run all day long and never seem to get tired. Looks like Dutch Shepherds are a great all-round working breed. Never see them over here in the USA thought. I don't know why.
@JackKangaroo114 жыл бұрын
A very athletic breed of dog. Reminds me a lot of the Belgian Malinois. The Malinois has become the breed of choice to replace the crippled German Shepherd breed for police and military usage. I'm thinking Dutch Shepherds might find a role there also.
@lervin7814 жыл бұрын
Dutch Shepherds are amazingly athletic. Jager looks like a great dog. My friend has a 4 yr-old Dutchie that I'll take running with me. He usually makes me run faster than I want to because he's so eager to go go go!
