I'm also curious about that Audi. Did you leave Valdez with those people also? I'm wondering if it struggled getting out of town pulling the trailer up that massive uphill getting through thompson pass. I've seen pickups struggle with their tows...

To be honest I rarely used it for AC. I camped in Alaska and well, it doesn't usually get that warm. I'm now in South Dakota so I'll probably have to use it a bit more for AC and such.

I special ordered at Royal Coach Recreational Sales in Bakersfield California. I've been battling with generator's. Watts, weight and portability from the truck bed. I didn't want to permanently mount. Tim, my Lance salesman suggested the Onan 4500 watt generator that weighs a little over 100 lbs. I went for it. Now that I've researched the generator, because of high demand it's backordered until October.

Excellent video - I am currently generator shopping and in my search I am finding nearly every brand is Made in Communist China. This Onan looks terrific but the engine is Made in communist China & maybe the other parts also. China is not friendly to the USA & I hate giving those commies my $$$.

Awesome, I have the same Outback 210URS and looking to get this same generator, hate to see all the comments of how it's made in China as we all would rather buy American these days, but being that it's a Cummins I'm guessing parts and service would be easy to come by. Now that you have had time to use it, have you been able to run a/c and microwave at the same time? Thanks for the video.

Hello! We’re a children’s newspaper trying to engage young people to learn about American culture - including Alaska’s famous dogsled race. Can we get permission to use a short clip of this video to accompany our feature on the Iditarod? We think children can learn from it and would engage with the video to read more about the 2020 edition of the Iditarod. Many thanks! News-O-Matic Editor Russell Kahn / [email protected]

I have the Westinghouse igen. It’s perfect after 2 years of even leaving it out in the weather. Cummins putting its name is just a ploy.
@ThePamperedMom
@ThePamperedMom 4 жыл бұрын
It might be a ploy, seems like a lot of the generators on the market are rebranded across the board. The cheap one I got at Costco a while back had a Yamaha engine in it. It was very quiet and worked well for what it is.

I doubt that Westinghouse makes the iGen. The front panel of the iGen4500 looks identical except for the branding sticker. Probably both made by a Chinese company.
