What is a good way to start a dialog with local unions and pull them into issue-based activism? I'm currently living in Muncie, Indiana with about 12 unions in the area and I see collaborating with local unions as a good start to uniting the working class in the area. I'm also joining progressive struggles and resistance rallies as I can find them, but I feel a need to generate more of that energy around here. I've been reading the History of the Communist Party of the United States by William Z. Foster and Gramsci's Prison Notebooks and want to be a bigger part of this effort of teaching and uniting the working class and setting the foundation for a labor party. I fear our conditions are similar to the 1920s in Italy and I want to try and prevent some of these past mistakes from happening again. Any advice is welcome. Keep up the fight! ✊
