The 718 is definitely a great package. Porsche engineers did a superb job with this car. The Flat 4 is a pleasure.

I have a 981 Boxster GTS because of the sound. Jesus Christ it’s almost Group B electric. My brother has just driven it and was on a driving trip around Ireland and he said there were other GT4s and they are not a patch on this sound wise. Great video.

every min of this sound in my 981 is close to an orgasm.. ;:-) drove today the new Gts 4.0, better power, better accerlation, more stiff in everything. the better sportsman... but the sound ... No emotion. I ll keep my 981.. its a beauty, its a lion.

This sound is the reason why many buyers are still choosing the older 981 model over the 718, even though a 981 with low mileage is more expensive than a 2-year old low mileage 718. I’ve driven both, back to back. The 718 feels like the better car in every aspect, except for the most important one: emotion. For me personally, there’s no point of buying a sports car without a thrilling whine. Therefore I’ve decided to go for the 981 and every time I go on the throttle, it puts a smile on my face. The low end torque and better 0-100 time of the 718 could never make up for that. Nonetheless, both vehicles are fastastic.

I had a 718 and absolutely loved it to bits, but I'm with you. Sold my 718 on Friday, and purchased a 981 GTS (both boxsters) My 718 was a PDK, my incoming 981 is a manual - can't wait. Super excited!

I am long overdue for a video on my channel and am hoping to make another one about the car very soon. Your dad is going to love it, it's an incredible present to give anyone!
