Mutton birds suck ! I used to scatter small pieces of cut bait as far from the boat as i could throw it & then drop my rig down. Not perfect but gets more baits down there. A bad days fishing is still better than a good day at work. 👍

It shoots surprisingly well for an old rifle. Then again, a quality rifle chambered in 22LR should really never wear out a barrel. Not sure if I want to restore it as such. It has that patina that shows its age. I should have also mentioned, you don't need a $5k rifle to enjoy shooting. This was heaps of fun and only cost $150. Ammo is cheap too!

I invested in a Boya wireless mic to improve the sound from my little camera. Worked really well indoors, but sucked when I used it outside. By the time I realised, I had packed up and home.... so used what I had. Hopefully improve on the next one!

What powder were you using?

I was using ADI AR2206H. Hard to get now, so I use AR2209 in my other calibers.

2206-H is starting to get about again. I’ve had really good results in my Weatherby Mark-V 22-250 with 2208. Using 55 grain V-Max getting quarter to half inch groups at 100 yards with minimal POI change. And tried 50 and 60 grain V-Max with excellent results. Love the 22-250; just wish they came with a faster twist.
