Many A40s were imported into tge United States in the years immediately after WWII- They sold well at first as car-starved Americans at the the the time would take anything with four wheels and an engine. Many of these cars later ended up on drag strips as gassers with massive engines stuffed into them....

I can remember when I must have been about 4 years old, being taken by my dad to see Freddie Henry, who had an Edwardian Austin similar to this. He was well known in the Vintage/Edwardian Austin movement and I think was one of the founders of the 750MC ?

Possui um idêntico , azul , era excelente o carrinho , fui o segundo dono , isso em 1972. 100% original. O apelido na época era " ovo de pascoa . " Quando comprei marcava 65 mil Km , reais , era como zero km . O meu já era volante do lado esquerdo .

Superb, I have a 1963 Long wheel base Land Rover , It's great fun to drive, even at 16 (at best) mpg and it shakes your bones out, hey I realise it's only a baby when next to this beauty, thanks for showing
