The colorless blender is useful for priming the paper when you will blend colors.

Impossible to get an even tone with an alcohol marker. They just dry too fast.

It can definitely be a challenge but possible if you have a full marker and are willing to put down a couple layers. Lighter colors are easier than dark.

Nope, they still really well. I use good quality vinyl sticker paper and coat it w waterproof laminate.

All I've been been able to find is bleed through, however what Im looking to stop is the markers running along the lines of the paper making 'uncrisp' lines. It's as if I lay a line and there is little hair like lines branching off it very, very short but noticable when looking closely. How can I stop this??

You can try using something like a credit card to go over edges of the tape to make sure the tape is stuck well. Also keeping your tape in a drawer or some where where it is less likely to collect dust and hair might help. At the end of the day bleed through will happen. So if it bugs you, you can clean it up with some white paint. Or just embrace the imperfections. It's not the end of the world. If its in your sketchbook its practice And if it's a piece you want to frame, you won't see the white edges anyway as they will be be hidden behind a Matt or frame edge.
