Thanks for uploading. Stuff like this is always a trip down memory lane. I remember using a lot of models from the Viewpoint Datalabs catalog throughout my career in the 90s. Solid stuff, even at film resolution. I also processed a few Cyberware head scans for clients. It produced very dense and (sometimes) messy meshes - lots of manual cleanup needed but it worked well enough.

Neat to see, but cheapens true (human made) sculpture. We have enough mass produced junk.

precisely, it democratizes access to sculptures for more people instead of just the few who could afford human made sculpture. A sculpture is a sculpture

Still need the last cut done by a professional wood sculptor.. nobody wants a sculpture with cnc milling marks. And its still a lot of money even if the machine does the big part of the job.

Any 5 axis CNC milling machine has the capability to carve small gems with the correct tools and vice. This robot is a large (5 meter left to right) reach and 7 axis.
