Thank You Anthony! Yes my team and I are on a MISSION to raise the level of Trust & Respect in Auto Repair by correctly diagnosing and repairing our customers vehicles one at a time! Especially the TRICKY OBD-1 vehicles of the 80's 90's fuel injected vehicles like this truck!

You know well engineered trucks that can run the distance, also noticed the early 2000 series Silverado in the background, great vehicles as well. Both are in nice condition.

Just a quick update: The testor at DEQ said it is the lowest reading he had ever seen for an older truck! Another VICTORY for The Car Doctor Shop via The MotorVac Service!

Hi have a 86.5 D21 z24i and an 88 WD21 VG30i . There are no videos about properly tuning my TBI that I can find only deleting it for a carb. I have torn both down to heads and replaced timing and set it correctly and both drive on the highway comfortably but I can never be sure if a previous owner turned some of those little screws on the TBI. I mean even the sound of one running correctly is a help.

Interesante tu equipo.

You are full of great advice. I've been trying to figure out how to become more disciplined and motivated, especially when it comes to riding my bike. These tips are gold. I'll have to bookmark this one. Thank you for sharing.

Thank You! The reason they are "gold" is because I have to use them myself! Following my own motivation habits, is there a way you could make riding your bike bigger than you? For example, I tell myself if I get on my bike and get in at least 15 minutes of training time, it will make me a better Dr Rob, Racer Rob, Husband Rob ect. In fact, by helping you, that just reminded me I have to get on my bike today as well, even with it raining and only 36 degrees! Lets do this.... 😎👊

Thank You FCA, another Journey in the works! You think I would learn my lesson after building 2 shops from scratch, and then successfully selling them both.... 😎 Ok all jokes aside, Auto Repair, especially diagnostics and repairing is in my blood! Here is to more Trust & Respect in Auto Repair!

This is good advice for anyone starting a business, even for me as a KZbinr. And yes, I will definitely recommend your shop to my customers when appropriate.

Right on EMP, appreciate your feedback and support, and THANK YOU for referring customers my way! No matter what, word of mouth is still the most powerful form of marketing!

Always check the carfax, but keep in mind they make mistakes too. I paid for a carfax report AFTER buying my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee in 2013 and the report came back showing a salvaged title! I was so pissed off and chewed out the seller (for other reasons too) only to find out through the DMV that the Jeep in fact has a clean title. I was able to get carfax to fix their mistake after a few emails so that the Jeep shows a clean history now.

Great point EMP and thanks for the added information! You also reminded me that the vehicle can be wrecked or damaged, and not reported as well. On top of a background check, ALWAYS have a pre-purchase inspection performed by a shop that you trust! All this added information will help pay for itself when there are issues found, and you can negotiate a better sales price!

The biggest thing I can remember about mine is the smell inside when I hoped in it as my first truck in high school so many great memory’s my friends and I we nicked named it “Hub” and she was a runner I miss it soo much . Great truck man I live in central Oregon myself great to see so many local enthusiast I think it’s a Pacific Northwest thing which makes since cause we prolly have the most of these classic rust free trucks swing as we don’t use salt on our roads and the trucks came off the boat strait from japan there in Portland or seattle great rig p.s don’t ever mess with the timing on these it’s so hard to get back to factory setting I could never figure it so mine ran hot til I peaked her

Really interesting equipment you have! Probably stuff I'll never have in my garage but if I ever have the space, time, money, and fortune of finding some of that vintage gear...

Thanks EMP! I have been a technician for over 35 years and not only do I work on OBD-II vehicles, I also specialize in working on the OBD-I vehicles which is kind of like the "dark ages"! Most of the diagnostic/testing equipment in the video is for OBD-I vehicles such as the breakout testing box, Snap On Ignition Scope, and 4 gas analyzer. I also LOVE the MotorVac Fuel Injection system cleaner as well, does an awesome job cleaning out the entire engine!
