Thank you for beeing so patiënt with the dogs! So they will be someone elses pet one day without any problems!… I wish more people week help instead of putting the dog down! That really saddest me! But by all I watched and the time and effort you give to those dogs so they have a change on beeing someone ‘s best friend one day. I really will never take a dog again because after I had our dog for 17+ years and I had to bring him to the vet to let him go, I never ever want to feel that pain(I still feel after almost half a year) ever again. I really never felt so much pain as that day and I don’t want to feel it again… everr!!

That is really sad to hear! Because that means that a lot of dogs are beeing eutunized because they are not a “cute” breed”

I just had to went to the vet on 19 July,9 day’s after my birthday and hé was almost 17 (a Jack Russel ) but die to some problems I had to let him go…😪… I really miss him!.. his name was Spijker (I am from the Netherlands so it exctually means “nails” sinds his nails were alway’s sharp.. in the begin he had also those darkbrown spots. But later on he became a really old man with almost all grey hair. But gosh I do miss him so much!🥹

But this dog does almost looked like mine wenn we pickles him up after hé waswith a lady who alway’s put him in a bench the entire day. And although hé had a great life and hé was the sweetesr dog I ever had.. I had to let him go… It still hurts so much. It’s been allready a few months but i still can’t come over the feeling that he is no longer with us.. he truly was the best dog i ever had and my Son also was heartbroken! Because I brought him home for his birthday although his birthday wasn’t there for weeks. And so we never had papers from his birth etc. But my Son was almost 4 at the time and in 2 months he will be 21. So I think our dog was around 17 years since hé was not a puppy wenn i took him home. But gewas an old gentleman for sure wen i had to let him go! So he also could have been close to 18. Bit I wish he would pass in his sleep in my bed. Because he was allouwed to sleep next to me. RIP Spijker 🫶🏼🥹😪Gosh how I do miss you. And that Jack Russel did remind me of him. Sorry for the long comment. But again.. It still hurts so much… so please you’ll take good care of you’re pets!!

My boy now took a lot of work. I marked the first time he let me hug him, the first time he let me kiss him, the first snuggle... all his firsts. It took months and months for these milestones. Even though he showed trust, connection, love, and kindness to me, he still had certain situations he wasn't okay with and that was fine with me. I never forced any of it. People were always surprised to hear me say "Not yet" when they'd tell me how great of a snuggler he was or how amazing his hugs must have been because of how clearly he showed his love and connection to me. He's now 2 in a half years old and he hugs, kisses, and snuggles with me daily. It's worth the patience.

Great idea given the small dogs often owned by elderly people. A service dog for a disabled person is an entirely different matter.

Training a dog to sit when the human stops has zero value. All the dog needs to do is stop. This dog was rewarded for sitting not heeling. Zero evidence that dogs think in or out of their heads .

People need to realize they can work their dog anywhere. Even in there driveway. They don't have to go on a 3 mile hike. The backpack helps burn energy and give the dog a job. Remember this dog bit his owner.
