You're telling me i CAN'T jump into unreal feet first with no prior knowledge and make a game? Alright i'll just fantasize about my game and all the cool mechanics it would have forever instead 🙂

Marvelous video! btw I think you could have mentioned Ultimate Doom Builder and Morrowind Construction Engine. They're not engines to make a game from zero, but they're really good if you want to do something with a basis already done. Like, if you're like me who wants to make a game for a school project but doesn't want to start from zero, they're really gonna help ya. Also, they're really simple to use (sometimes you don't even need to code!) and can be a good choice for a beginner who just wants to get things done.

I have an idea for an origin for a Minecraft mod called Origins, but not only found out its pretty difficult but also because my idea is VERY complex and has to do with mods that allow the player to put things into globes. I was thing of making it so the player would either have a personal crafting recipe and activate it with some levels of xp, or be able to select a set amount of blocks for the size of the thing they want to cube at the cost of xp. Can i get some guidance?

What I learned from this video: 1. Start with Scratch. 2. Pick an engine you'd be comfy with. 3. Watch a tutorial on that engine to learn the basics but not to baby you through making a game. 4. Make sure your expectations are low. 5. Don't be stupid. 6. Have fun and try your best. I will update this comment when I make my first game on Scratch and feel comfortable to hop over to a proper game engine.

start with scratch or makecode arcade. when you have a pretty good understanding of stuff, move to gamemaker. when you have a good understanding of THAT , you have 2 options: move to unity / godot / whatever idk OR you can just stay in gamemaker because that is a good game engine. or you could do both. im still in the gamemaker part 😅

To be honest, the biggest benefit if AI is it makes coding much easier for begginers. Like I know how to code and I'd still rather use chatgpt to write and organize code, that being said, please at least learn coding logic if your going to use chatgpt so you can at least understand how to debug something if it doesnt work. Chatgpt can only write hte solved problem it can't solve the problem

This has to be the most helpful video I've ever seen. Thanks for making it. I'm one of those people who tends to give up pretty quickly because I know nothing about programming language, I don't know where to learn, and coding much like math is very tedious. My reason for wanting to do it is games have had a big impact on my life and many others. I see what they can do. How they can bring people joy or bring them together, and how they can change people's lives. I love people and I enjoy making people smile most in life. I want to make things to bring smiles to as many people as possible. That's my dream.

Something I'm trying right now is watching a "make your first game tutorial" and then watching it again while taking notes and following the steps My notes will be broken down into things like "How to add basic movement to a character for x genre" and "How to add animations to any character" things that I could apply to making my 2nd game in the chosen game engine (Godot in this case) I'll also try to change my game while following the tutorial so while I probably won't change the graphics at all I will change other things like making my character faster or building a different level to give myself that feeling of "changing things up" which will hopefully improve my engagement with the tutorial video

Can you make a Maze Runner game based on the movie where you start in the maze and reach the exit and then the game becomes the largest open world in the history of gaming so you begin your missions after you are taken by that organization. With unreal engine. This is my dream game and I was asking a lot of programmers on KZbin to make it.... I would make it if I had a computer I know that it is a difficult task but I do not believe in the impossible at this time

@@BinzuDev Oh and for what its worth. I use CTA5 (cartoon animator 5) which integrates with 3D motions, After Effects, Illustrator, Photosohp, and then I throw in Procreate with progreate Dreams (you'd love it honestly if you are using GIMP, its like GIMP for animators) Blender is newer to me but it has a future with Grease Pencil. You should cover ART in game making next. Lots of good programs for art animations, Construct came out with their own animation software recently.
