Question: Can you just replace the water pump seal or oring?? If the water pump still works fine?
@Top5AutoRepairs11 сағат бұрын
That's fine as long the water pump isn't making noise or worn

Thanks for vid - will be changing my pcv valve once it gets warmer - it's cold as bleep Jan 10 2025 - have a 10 Altima Coupe V6 3.5SR 6MT, the MAC DADDY version which has been losing oil for quite some time now - am very disappointed my nissan shops failed to replace this - car as >203K - have watched a bunch of vids on this and can't wait to replace - it's amazing that a stupid PCV valve can wreak such HAVOC. Should be called POS - P.O.S. valve - this is a very SMALL but HUGE source of problems. From engineering perspective this is a huge FAIL - this stupid valve should be designed to never fail due to the numerous problems it causes if it does.

why did the engine use the data from the ECT sensor to measure the AFR when it can use the data from IAT (intake air temp)?

My 01 pathfinder hums when on gas. Changed fluid and it looked fine. No drivability issues but the hum is annoying. Previous owner took it in previously for same issue but no notes on issues. Anything i could look for? Thank you.

Can a “broken” steering rack cause a loud single “knock” every time you turn a sharp left? I’m told my steering rack shows no sign of leaking but somehow it’s broken inside and when I turn left only it creates a single loud knock. They said first is was the steering rack bushings, and paid to replace those but it didn’t fix the knock at all. Now they say it needs a new steering rack because internal things are broken, but not convinced they know what’s actually wrong. Tie rods?

I have a 2002 Camry 2.4L with the U241E 4-speed auto, and it has 216k miles and its never been changed. It still shifts good, but its making a loud whining sound on cold start-up, and goes away after a few miles of driving. Anyone think its a good idea to do a fluid and filter change? Thanks for your video!
@Top5AutoRepairsКүн бұрын
It's risky at that point. I would suggest topping it off with fluid.

Today I was thinking, “how does the crankshaft position sensor even work?” I thought to myself, “who is that guy who made that video for stuck O2 sensors?” So I searched to find that video, and found your channel and then searched for this and boom. Literally exactly what I was hoping to find. Your videos are among the highest quality in terms of understandability and overall depth of information.

About 8 years ago now, 2001 Toyota Solara, no start sensor code. on a used motor I'd installed, took it for granted dude said he recently replaced the timing belt and gears until I pulled it apart and looked at the teeth on the crankshaft pulley for the t-belt, which required removing timing belt. Sure enough, tooth on the back lip of the gear was missing a tab, like the ones oh this balancer you have but the gear is only 3" diameter. Ran to a salvage yard, found a 3.0 that was tore down that far and paid like $5. At the time new was $50 for just a gear. put it back together, started perfect. so this mans advise is good to remember.

Any ideas on why my 2001 grand marquis temp gauge would max out for a couple seconds while accelerating it seems to lose power sometimes cuts off. Already replaced thermostat, coolant temp sender, and cylinder head temp sensor with no luck. No check engine light and the cars temperature doesn’t actually raise when this happens.
@bigjonb67782 күн бұрын
Oh the fan also cuts on when it hits the temperature of 210. I’ve had 3 shops look at it with not one figuring it out. One shop just started saying the fan relay was bad the radiator was bad etc.. and quoted me some insane prices for repairs.

Hi!! My 18 Camry SE stopped on me 2 days ago. It runs fine, it just won’t go forward. There’s no leaking, no wet spots. Without looking, I’m told that the transmission MAY need to be replaced. Is there any hypothetical scenario where the transmission fluid just needs to be replaced or more needs to be added?? I just hit the 110k mileage, never missed a service at an authorized Toyota dealer, and there was no mention/recommendation that the transmission needed to be flushed. Last service date was 2months ago and received the thumbs up that all my levels/were good to go. I also have 2 payments left on my vehicle 😢… and paying an estimated $9k is steep & not affordable for me. I welcome your insight, thank you!

My ac works fine when I'm driving, it cuts off when I'm stationary and I'd find the compressor kicking on every 45 secs and runs for 10 seconds and does it in a cycle I'd say. I changed compressor, condenser, refrigerant, hi and low pressures are normal. I've noticed when the engine is cold in the morning, the ac runs perfectly fine while stationary. However, when i hit the road and then in traffic and not moving, it cuts out. HELP
