Had to use the repair tool swap trick, in order to repair it while I drove. It was literally the only way to get it down there, for narrative purposes, of course.

@@bahamut6412 Basically, reinforcements on every available surface, along with two towers I built exclusively to build reinforcements on, you might notice them as I'm swimming back up. I did intentionally remove reinforcements for the abandoned base for the astmospjere/storytelling, but reinforced everything again after.

Just compared this to the first upload and I gotta say, while it's cool to see how you intended it to be, I like the original upload a lot more. Something about the music you used in the other one invoked the different moods better. Which is something I even commented about on the that video.

Because the voidzone is acutally out of the playable map. Subnautica has no "alpha walls" if you leave the map and go in the voidzone where is no ground, this big ghost Fishmonster apperas and try to kill you. And afaik they also grow in number. Until your death or back on the map again. Probably they stop spawning while you inside a base. And lile you see, they also cant hurt you while you are in the base

@@thomaspolder7413 The non-abandoned portion is fully reinforced. When you see me fleeing back to the top, those two gigantic towers are nothing but reinforcements.

@thomaspolder7413 That warning is for hull strength in-general, it isn't specific to the base you're in. That hull strength number is for the abandoned portion.

@@kae6738 You're pretty spot-on with that one, lol.

It was... a lot, lol. I had originally planned to just stretch the main base WAY out into nothingness, and sever the tunnel, but unfortunately it still shared power with the main base, so I had to go back to the original cliff, make a tube, then build and delete all the way out into nothingness like a game of "Snake", and then finally start building it. It was a vision I wasn't quitting on until I saw it through.

@rigatonipasta It definitely took awhile, lol. My take with the Mesmers was that because of the dilapidated, derelict state of the base, the absolute worst creatures were able to infiltrate, and pretty much make it their home. Basically, total annihilation and overtake of the crew's quarters.
