Hey Chuck, entertaining vid again. You probably know this but before I renewed my 5 year license a guy told me to go a few days after it expires which is your birthday as you know. I renewed 5 days after mine expired and my renewal date now is in 5 years and 360 days. Just did it in August 2024, my license is valid till August 2030. So your new license will go to September 2030. Safe travels and have a great Christmas.

Hi Chuck, I just returned to Oz from 2 happy weeks in the “magic kingdom”. Spent 3 nights in Bangkok, 5 nights in Bangsaen 85 kms from Bangkok on the Gulf of Thailand and 6 glorious nights in White Sand Beach, Koh Chang, one of your favourite places to visit in Thailand. The sea water there is so clean and clear because it is close to Cambodia on the Gulf. Had a scary experience on a snorkeling tour when I lost sight of our big boat because the current swept me around to the other side of the small island. Fortunately I am a strong swimmer and was able to use a long guide rope of find my way back to the boat. Moral is to always keep the mother ship in sight when you are snorkelling😜

Thai police ain't allowed to accept cash anymore. Only scan. To prevent corruption. I know this because we were stopped for speeding in north Thailand and the police told me. I tried with cash first but he refused it. Anyway awesome video as usual. Long and good. 😊

Going by the comments we have some of the steepest fines here in NSW Australia. $600 AUD or around $400 US for an expired licence here and cannot drive until the licence fee is paid. Then have a few weeks to pay the fine. This just reminded me to check mine, I've got a year to go. Thanks Chuck 😆

I got pulled over at a checkpoint on the way to Bangkok from Phayao a few days ago and got a speeding ticket for 500 baht. The cop showed me a photo of my Toyota driving 124 kph in the 120 kph lane. Driving the same speed as others in the lane but guess my speedometer is not calibrated at the correct speed.

Saw how much a fine was there for driving expired. I work for the courts in Portland Oregon. Here that ticket would be $270. Not a bad deal there
