So I’m pulling the pump now on a 97 3500 gmc it wasn’t making any noise but there is so~ much oil from the compressor down I’m mean thick and from the steering gearbox the shaft from there to the firewall is covered from around the height of the park plugs basically 360 degrees from the pump down and maybe a foot just thick with oil and dirt. The guy has only had the truck a few months but want driving it much until the last few weeks the oil and dirt has obviously been there awhile when ingot under to remove the pump the wire is not plugged I n the sensor and is nowhere to be found there was play in the pulley but all that said the pump has the right level of fluid. They been driving the truck steers stops fine.they stop at store get in start it and no power assist brakes and no power steering that’s when I checked the fluid it was perfect and thi guy doesn’t even own any fluid. brake fluid is not all the way full but very close just wondering if fluid comes out of the sensor where the wire plugs if there is no wire and how did the truck still steer fine. Anyway not sure you will have any answers but I am waiting on new pump should be putting it in soon.

I have a 2004 Tacoma 2.7 with blown head gasket. Other videos I have watched showed jacking the engine up 6 inches to remove the oil pick up tube in the oil pan or removal of the whole engine to complete a head gasket job like this. Is that necessary if you are not changing timing chain guides or anything else other than shaving the cylinder head and replacing head gasket??

I saw some people taking alternator bolts off to loosen belt, but, that's not needed right?? Just loosen adjuster and take pulley off correct??

I did the clutch in my 2008 2.7 tacoma, and everything went right but when I bolted the transmission back to the engine, the arm that controls the throwout bearing was jammed up. I couldn't even install the slave cylinder. I took it all back apart and everything looks correct. Any ideas?

Hi !!!2009 Sienna , I got thermostat out ( gutted live in Hawaii ) …. Radiátor blown up from side … mesured by Block test no blown head Gasket …. It makes noice and water is not flowing when I Connect upper and lower radiátor hose (bypass) ….. So it looks like water pump ?? How is the Desing is the propeler able to disconect there so coolant stops flowing ??? Thanks Reply
