I love finding a channel worth supporting. Just purchased the course, and getting ready to order Toon Boom from the link. Thank you very much for this. I didn't realize how hard it would be to get started with animation. This video is bridging a lot of gaps.

Thank you for making a Blender tutorial for beginners that actually is a tutorial for beginners AND applicable to doing work outside of your specific examples. Well paced, well focused, straight to the point, and considerate of your audience.

If anyone is interested: The reason it looks better if you move the mouth motion key frames two frames back from where the sound is, is because it actually resembles reality better. Sound is fast but it's not super fast and not even remotely as fast as light. So we don't conciously notice it but we're actually used to seeing somebody talk a fraction of a second before we hear it. As I said, it's not concious but our brain can notice the difference. Thats why animating mouth movements exactly on the sounds looks unnatural.

Thank you so muuuuch! I started this animation a year and so ago and there werent many 2d animation in blender tutorials at the time to help me with some things! :) I learned a lot on my own but can you believe this?: Any time I would mistakenly click (ALT) my method to make it go back to normal was somehow messing around with it by using alt and left click moving around the place, clicking to invert the picture on the ("Y axis" on the right top corner) plus clicking the number ("0" on the numpad) and sooner or later it would work! xD Theres a freaking camera icon right there and I never tried it wow... also I learned a bunch of other things in this video! Million thanks dude! 😁👍 PS: I was glad to see your channel again because I also used to watch a lot your Flash (now animate) tutorial for animation! Thanks again! 😁

I tired to follow the steps with my 5.2.2, but I was completely stuck and I couldn’t animate. I didn’t get a layer that said “animation” on it and the whole frame stuff was complicated. (I couldn’t properly animate or playback anything)
@jessejayjones6 күн бұрын
The layer "Animation" is not special, it's just a regular layer renamed to "Animation," sorry if that was confusing!!

Youre a good teacher. 90% of them are SEE WHAT I CAN DO show off videos as i call them. They just breeze thru just letting you watch them work. Not teaching. They are like low self esteem individuals who never leave their house and get a kick showing off here on youtube as their entire life self validation is only done on KZbin and Insta and FB or whatever. Keep up this method of teaching for newbies. I have 20 years exp with 3ds max and couldn't understand their hit z twice, slide big, click value, toggle zoom, hit BB twice then drag here, see you got a warp force. I WISH YOU WERE REACHING 3d PARTS OF BLENDER TOO. Though im also interested in 2d sketch work. LIKE GIVEN.
