I read on the amazon reviews on those blowers, everyone says you don't want to have them turned on continuously and even just a couple of hours could overheat break it. have you tried leaving it on for many hours ? still working fine ?

Brilliant! I was thinking of the same kind of system but was stumped when it came to forcing air through. I happen to have one of those Halloween air doo-dads. Can't wait to put mine together. Thank you for posting this video. Dry wetsuit = Happy me!

Mike, any idea how many CFM the fan puts out? thinking of using an in-line bilge fan

do you have in issue with water going into the tubing? and then mildew/mold? is there a low point collection that you can drain?

Krista, I didn't have to change the dryer. I just fixed the end of the PVC to accept the hoses from the boot dryer. I have since started hanging them in my furnace room and have dismantled the dryer.

You said you switched out the fan for a boot dryer...it doesn't ruin the SEAMS of the wet suit?
@will3tt
@will3tt 8 жыл бұрын
+Mona Sagisi No it doesn't. There isn't enough heat or airflow to dry out the seams. It just helps speed up the drying process so you can get out and get wet a bit sooner.

You can see in writing on the pipe "ABS cellular core" it is ABS pipe. As far as I know PVC is almost always white or grey. If anyone does this for themselves it's a lot cheaper to use ABS drain pipe, just make sure you use ABS glue or it'll just fall apart on you over time.

Does this dry the arms of your wetsuit?
@mikew2555
@mikew2555 9 жыл бұрын
Yes, it circulates air through the whole suit and definitely speeds up the drying. I have since exchanged the fan for a boot and glove dryer which blows heat through suit.

Does the fan have a model #?
@will3tt
@will3tt 9 жыл бұрын
No, it was taken from the inside of the blow up decoration. I've since changed the fan out with a skate/boot dryer... It adds a little bit of heat to the air.
