@@brialeixx Unfortunately, I had to drop my nursing classes due to life reasons. Things happen when you least expect it. I was taking 7 classes. I'm retaking my a&p courses online. I will bounce back✊💪

I ended up getting interviewed and accepted 1 year early! And I just finished my first block as an OMS-1! It’s been super busy but an amazing experience so far. Hope your OMS-1 year has also been going well!

@@sanasanwal200 so, I was able to get all my hours but I took a gap year because I was not ready to take the MCAT yet for medical school. I also ended up picking up another minor to stay an extra semester.

Im studying biology at university atm as an undergrad, do you have any advice on how to gain some lab experience as everywhere seems to want post grad students or previous experience (im based in the UK). Loved the video, gave a real insight into the role and showed people like myself what the role/field is actually like. Found it super helpful :)

@@GraceLudlam-g7w Hi!! I would definitely start looking within your university. Most professors have research in additional to teaching. That’s how I got my first experience with research. As students are graduating, labs need more students! If you can’t find anything, start looking at your local medical schools or other universities in the area. Best of luck! ☺️

I am currently studying a bachelor of Psych undergrad, but only recently developed interest in doing some type of research, and I heard of research assistant. is psychology a apart of the sciences that are eligible to pursue a career in research assistant? and if not what do you think my path looks like after getting my bachelor of psych, or even before that?

Hello! There is definitely a lot of opportunities to do research in psychology. There are some labs that are more clinical where you research people and some where you can research animal models. While I’m not familiar with the psychology path, I do believe that it is possible for you to go into research. Best of luck!

@@susanjoe347 I personally did not. We had training on site. There are some companies that may have their own qualifications. I have a video on my page of frequently asked questions. That might help!
