Donovan sounds great! The “Shaman” video he did with Lynch is awesome as well.

I loved this movie. Top ten for me. I watched it 3 times then it disappeared from hulu - bastards. I love the simplicity of the story and the lack of enthusiasm for life. Wonderful, great job by everyone involved.

Fantastic documentary, thank you! My ABC and Odeon days as a kid are my most treasured memories of growing up in Glasgow.

This was really interesting to see a behind the scenes look of how GFT works. Never appreciated the GFT as much as I should have pre-pandemic but when I started going out last summer I got myself a Cinecard and go as much as I can now. Amazing cinema.

The Green's Playhouse in Renfield Street (which later morphed into the rock venue the Apollo) was once the biggest cinema in Europe (or so i've read) with over 4000 seats. Long since gone of course.

The Glasgow Odeon was a real eye catcher in its day. Proud to serve Glasgow cinema goers who loved the experience it presented. It was totally destroyed both inside and out to become a Odeon film centre . Nothing can or will ever replace it . Glasgow is now poorer for its mistake in allowing its fine cinema buildings to go and be bulldozed to nothing in its fine city centre. Well worth a visit today but where once fine cinemas stood and entertained to me it's a sadness that never goes away.

The main reason is Odeon's obsession with real estate selling..they had hundreds of buildings in their grasp when they took over the ABC cinema chain..and they realised the value of selling them rather than operating ( albeit it to some expense as these very old buildings were high maintenance) such a shame but it was in the Company's DNA...from 2000 to 2008 when owned by a private equity Company. At least the new Chinese billionaire owner gave us Lux reclining seats and several refurbishments of cinemas around the UK which were common place in Asia 10 years ago onwards ! Kind regards from an avid cinema enthusiast x

I saw a very good film (On The Rocks) the other night and all the safety measures were in place which reassured me. Also I know it's a different cinema but I got an e-mail from Cineworld saying their 127 cinemas didn't have a single Covid transfer since they re-opened, it was just the lack of big new releases that made them temporarily close. So feel as comfortable in cinemas with these measures as I do going to neighbourhood cafe.
