You can do it simply: 1. Click the image menu, go to adjustment then click curve, Make the curve a bit lower by holding on the center of the curve. 2. Again Click the image menu, go to adjustment then click Brightness and Contrast. Reduce the brightness. Check how much dark you need.

I followed exactly how you did it, but any flv file I added to the effects is just plain black when I hit the play button after masking it. As soon as I imorted the flv video it's already black, not like yours yellow. Please help me?

They just installed Linear lights on each vertical fin. This is not screen. So day time you can't even detect where is the lights. The design made in a way that there should be minimal view on the day time.
