Kindly check if the github repository is cloned properly. Also use the following commands before the installation. sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade Let us know if this resolved your issue.

The size of the contacts is by default set as shown in in the video. You can check the properties if there is any option to further reduce the contact size.

This error usually occurs if your design is not synthesizable or if Yosys is not properly installed. I suggest that try the synthesis using any basic synthesizable code (like half adder) and if the problem persists then re-install the opensource eda tools.

You can create a layout for any design for any technology node if you have the specific PDK. However, for that I would suggest you use a more industry oriented tools like cadence, synopsys or tanner instead of Microwind L-Edit. Bro, get Xschem and Magic get rid of Virtuoso its price is 990 Dollars per month. Our countries have been primarily deprived off it so we go there and learn these. Its just a tool. Get rid of them completely using open source.

According to what you have written, It seems like the drive in which you are trying to install the software does not have write permissions. Try to provide the required read/write permission or install it in another directory.

The spikes are caused due to the Miller effect, i.e., the coupling of input output by the gate drain capacitance Cgd. One of the method to reduce the spikes is to increase the output capacitance. However, increasing the output capacitance will decrease the slew rate.

If the Layout is not loading directly, just open the L-edit in a seperate window, add the libraries, create a cell and then load the netlist manually.

In ADE when we select the ouputs to be plotted (7:30), we select it as the drain terminal of the MOSFET, thus, it plots the drain current (Id) in the graph.

Please keep the step type linear steps and then add step size as 0.01......pr if you wish to keep automatic step then don't add any step size, just select automatic steps option.

It is not directly possible as Ganache runs the blockchain on local network. However, if you stil want to connect 2 machines to ganache then, they should be connected to a same local network (via LAN, etc). Although, you can use Geth to create a private blockchain network and join that with the other machine.
