I can't wait for the book release!!

Every now and then I come back to remind myself of where I was, and what I can not allow myself to go back to. I went through 22 years of addiction due to a lot of childhood trauma and grief. I reached a point where I thought I couldn't go on and in a strike of lightning I looked in the mirror, didn't recognize myself and knew something else had taken over. I asked God to remove it, and today I am almost 6 years sober, I have a wife, a 2 year old baby girl, a home, and a career helping others that struggle with addiction and trauma. It was at some of my lowest points that I found Flyleaf and Lacey Sturm and I can honestly say that the message I received through her music helped me find God.

Paul says unbelievers are blinded by the "god" of this world to the truth of the Gospel. They are unable to understand spiritual things. They consider the Gospel foolish. SO Imagin the blind TRYING to read scripture. Its impossible. Hense we have Mormons, JWs, World society and now the Roman Catholic Church who intellectually interprets with personal creativity to fill in the gaps between what can be seen and what they want to see. The Danger of Personal interpretation is not a blanket danger but one of unrestricted Recklessness when tried by the unredeemed. The first 40 years of church history read the Tanakh in the Septuagint. Otherwise known as the LAW and PROPHETS. this text predates the church by 400 years.

I just recently finished this book and loved every page of it. I am a huge fan of Nathan's and will read/watch anything he does. His thoughtful demeanor pulls me in and I love his vulnerability - oftentimes laughing at himself, which is endearing. A wonderful book that has brought me closer to God and taught me how to practice His presence. Thank you for writing this, Nathan.
