What I find interesting is that this was at the height of artists trending like ELO, The Sweet, Slade, Bowie, Mott,..etc that would have cut their cloth on music like this. So,for a group of 16 year olds to go back to playing stuff like this would have been so out of place at the time. Brilliant!

We all go through this phase of playing , it's exactly the same when we find ourselves so to speak it's just a bit more basic and raw after ! Good stuff

What does anyone else think or wonder? I'm looking at the people in the background on that album cover. I can't read the expressions on their faces. They don't look as if they're enjoying themselves. Not a smile in the room. The dancers don't look that overjoyed, either. That particular group of people don't look as though they belong in the same space together. I wonder what the occasion was that brought this particular group of people together and, at some point, this picture was taken. The more I look at it, the more puzzling.

Thanks for sharing this album. Organ player is the real thing. I grew up listening to Cal Tjader. He put so much soul into everything he did. Bop, latin, all of it.
