In Australia we call them a xr4 2l 110kw the little things have got some go in them crazy handling its a good fun to drive love mine at the top end 220khr flat stick it's just a fun little car 7000 rev changers dropped its engine mount modified it first drive well the drive was a blast but costly new engine build engine mounts allso new brakes thay shatterd I finally got it to swing its ass just to hard only time it slide and what a rush city little cars

I have MK 7 US version 2014, I bought it new, it has a Cobb stage two Tune short shift kit motor mounts MBPR exhaust and sticky Michelin Pilot Sport tires, it has 118,000 miles on it and still looks Showroom, it has many visual improvements, I'm 76 years old and have had 14 cars and pickups and 9 motorcycles, and my ST is the most fun car ever, it's a street legal go-kart. Thanks for the comment. I see what you’re saying and yes if I applied hard pressure whilst scrubbing, there could be a small possibility of damaging the leather coating over time. However, in my opinion a brush is required for a deep clean on this type leather to clean the natural grain. There are many more aggressive tools used to clean leather such as steam, scrub pads, drill brushes etc, and they all have a part to play and are very effective dependant on the type of leather and the level of in grained dirt. A hand leather cleaning brush such as the one used in this video is considered one of the least aggressive methods of deep cleaning automotive leather.

I know mate but to be fair the E46 I have now is still nice just have to work as hard with it as I did the other. I miss the still blue though.

Ho dear you’ll only find viper stripes on vipers. Fords have cobra stripes. My wife has had one from new but we can hear each other and the radio.

Stunning example. i have a 2006 mk6 fiesta zetec in black. owned it for 18 years and still enjoy driving mine till this day. Its not a Rocket. Only a 1.4 93bhp but it does me.

The reason they didnt put the V12 is because the weight of the engine and the emission regulations wouldn't have alllowed it to go 220 mph. The V12 wouldn't have made more than 490 hp with the current early 90s emission regulations and imposed a considerable weight penalty. However they could do it with the V6, and on top of that allowed for the 680 hp later TWR upgrade that made it even faster. People doesn't understand how capable this car really is, has 700hp plus potential with marginal upgrades, a chassis that is basically an XJR9 Lemans racer adapted for the road(This is why the size of the car is so enormous), real downforce and a crazy weight power ratio. Its perfectly comparable to an F40 or an F1 in any measure you want. The clients of the time were just stupid and were obsessed with having a V12 even if it meant it was slower.

Highly interesting to note your comments. I think the 220 is a fabulous car, both design wise and technically. You obviously know a great deal about the car. If I win the lottery I'll take you out in my one!

My brother Grahame used to work for a music company called Electro Tec in Canago Park, LA. One of the clients was Rod Stewart, who told my brother at the time that he bought a 220 and thought it a fabulous car. Worth every penny!

I would only wash the bay if absolute necessary. Although washing the bay is safe on most cars passed 2000. Over washing could potentially cause issues.

Lovely example mate, also got the st500 needs some bits doing to it but I agree down the line they will be sought after and with good mods too. When are you thinking of adding the turbo etc?
