My first time to the wheel, it just arrived today. I made a plate 🤣 it's crazy how good this video is. I struggled all day, managed to center one or two times, but not consistent. After watching this video it's like I've been always doing this. Don't get me wrong, all I know now is centering 🤣 but now I'm consistent. Thanks! Wasn't hoping for these results from day one, couldn't have done it without you

Thankyou for taking us back to basics when clay, pottery , ceramic was all about playing in mud and using our hands just as we did as kids. I love your style of teaching, it plain, simple but highly valuable in moving clay around. with all these new tools some people are almost moving away from touching clay and letting tools and the like making it for us. Please keep sharing your way of clay and we will keep watching x

So I DONT fault any person for making this money off this movement. I applaud them (as an business builder myself) And these tools take a of work out of the process for those that want to go straight to the surface decoration. But, for myself, I choose to not use a lot them. Ive been doing this for 31 years and if my clay mentor was alive, he'd have lotsa opinions about them all, especially the "opening up tool" LOL! I use 10 tools at most... Plus my hands! Thanks for the kind words! and keep FEELING the clay

@MudgirlPottery I was going to mention the 'opening up tool' but this process really isn't that difficult, it's like going shopping and buying grated cheese or frozen baked potatoes, really?? Do people really not have the time to do these things, lol I'll stop now or I could go on and on and on. But back to clay, you must carry on and on and I will keep watching, till the next video x
