Thank you so much for this tutorial. Can one also use hdc or dc to do this technique. And will the joining stitch then take on the yarn overs depending on hdc or dc?

Hello. In this you're showing only 10 or 12 chains. How to handle on crochet hook if you've longer chain like 60, 70? And a lot of thanks from Pakistan
@HookloopsarahCrochetАй бұрын
Hi Sonia. In that case, you'd need to use either a longer tunisian crochet hook, or one with cable. :)
@soniahanif2319Ай бұрын
@HookloopsarahCrochet thank you so nice of you. I like your videos. Very informative. Love from Pakistan😍

I have seen this type of granny square before - it came out a year ago on another crochet website Brianna K.
@HookloopsarahCrochetАй бұрын
I've never seen it applied on clothing, though. Brianna K. is a great creator, but I haven't seen it from her. :)

I have never seen yarn carried up that way before! I do know how to carry yarn up but not that way. This is much more practical n im betting alot of youtubers do not know this! So thankfull you showed up on my feed❣️. Oh, and yes i do like the pattern, lol❣️❣️

Thank you so much :)
@katherinekuhn8142Ай бұрын
So you keep working the granny square until it gets larger enough for half the sweater???
@HookloopsarahCrochetАй бұрын
Yes, exactly. Then you work the other half in the same way and join both pieces at the back.

There are a million free patterns out there about how to make garments from granny squares
@impunitythebagpussАй бұрын
Me too.
@HookloopsarahCrochetАй бұрын
Sorry! I might write a pattern for it after all and post stages of it here as well. If you want to try it, search for "hexagonal crochet cardigan", as @neeeeves suggests, and you'll find tons of great tutorials. Then just apply the rule to the Hoof Print Granny Square ;-)

I would love to know what kind of yarn you used and the size of your hook. Watching from Portugal 🇵🇹 November 2024
@HookloopsarahCrochetАй бұрын
You can use any hook size and yarn you prefer! I probably used a size 4 mm hook for my blanket, and lots of yarn leftovers.

You are good at your work but the only wrong thing you choose to show your work to be small some one just learning needs to see the stitches larger to able to get the complete effect of how the stitches really look like. Thank you for what you do .😊

Brilliant! I love this stitch in the contrasting colours. I do the Purl stitch by using the hook to drag the yarn through, rather than wrapping, then dragging. It eliminates one of the steps and I can't really see a difference in the end result. Though tension may end up being affected.
