I should be getting mine this week. What works best to clean up this kayak after usage. Do you take out the floor first and clean the inside? Thanks for the review!

Thanks for posting! I've had a Fast Track for a few years now. Super fast and tough as nails. The company has been around since the 60's. My uncle ran a good portion of the Rio Grand in the early 1980s with what would call an early version of the 380x (fatter pontoons than the Fast Track). The quality and design is AMAZING on these boats. You will not be disappointed.

There’s always gators. It’s Florida. But they won’t bother you at all. Just mind your own business. I’ve lived here all my life I’ve been swimming around them at Wekiwa springs and have hiked and walk right by them never a problem they jump into the water most of the time.

What trolling motor are you using? Thrust? Would you recommend it over gas?
@roadnotesrv
@roadnotesrv 5 ай бұрын
Hi, we’re using a Newport 55 lbs thrust trolling motor, which works out great. For more power and if you want to cover more distance, I would recommend a gas motor 4-6 hp. Hope this helps.

After using my new paddleski with a trolling motor. I was shocked by the way it handled. It seemed like I had to constantly adjust the steering because either it wanted to turn left or right and couldn't find a sweet spotting where it would just go straight longer than a few seconds. Me and my daughter were on it that day and had two batteries. What was your experience with your Trolling motor and the steering?
@roadnotesrv
@roadnotesrv 5 ай бұрын
Yes, the same in the beginning, till I figure out it is best to just let the troller run (tighten the tiller and set to straight) and then just steer with your paddle. Kind of like turning it into an e-kayak. Works best for me, and it’s fun and easy that way. Good luck and enjoy!

@@roadnotesrv Thanks for the tip. I had a feeling that might be the way to go. Also the company who sells a sailing rig for the boat also sells a clamp on rudder that might helpful but kind of pricey for what it is.

Hi guys, I have been researching this quite a bit as well and I think Sea Eagle 437 looks pretty good for my requirements. How is the effort pulling it fully loaded back up a typical boat ramp - one person? I see that you pretty easily dropped it in at a slight incline. I have not watched the full video yet to see you take it out. I was planning on a 6-hp 60 lb motor though and canopy top. Also I saw an optional type of seat that is just a cushion, that doesn't swivel. In a pinch, do you think one of those seats would fit up front as a third seat? The weight capacity of the boat seems perfectly sufficient for three average people. I do expect it may be a little tight. Thanks for the great video so far. You're selling me. :-)
@roadnotesrv
@roadnotesrv 5 ай бұрын
Not sure about the seat up front (maybe a child would work). To get her out of the water is pretty much the same as getting her in, just in reverse. The wheels make it pretty effortless once you get used to using them. Good luck and enjoy!

@@roadnotesrv I was referring to gravity, going uphill, possible slippery ramps, etc. Come to find out though, and sadly, Sea Eagle is based in NY and marxists Hochul, Engoron and James keep me from buying there. I don't like it either, but they're examples of "power corrupts absolutely". Nice boat though; thx.

Excellent video - thank you. I've been looking for a kayak for small lake recreation and some light fishing. After looking at all the options, I think the 385 FTA is for me. The flexibility and transportability that this model offers is beyond what I thought I'd be able to get in a single kayak. My wife has decided she wants too so we're looking forward to having fun and enjoying the peacefulness of paddling. I don't know your wife's condition but positive thoughts are headed her way. Thanks again!

FYI Devils Fork has tent camping, RV camping and “Villas”, which are 2-3 bedroom house size cabins with a/c, kitchen, screened deck and outdoor fireplace. The villas have their own boat parking area. In addition, you can book a day trip tour boat that will meet you at the dock.

Thought it was about TableRock in Branson, MO area where I live not too far away when i saw your headline. But this looks like a wonderful area and resembles a bit like the Ozarks. I just got my paddleski a few months ago and whenever i launch it at a public access point i always get questions and interest in the craft. I got it because I was originally thinking of 4 different recreation crafts that would satisfy everyone in the family - small bass/Jon boat, jet ski, kayak, paddleboard. But with the paddleski, i can get the same utility and on-water experience w just the Paddleski but without the trailers and space needed for buying all of them individually plus registration, property tax and other expenses.
