I used to use a regular ink pen and embossing powder on cards. Really works.

Good point about the cord. I never thought of that. My pliers don't lock. I could go 'borrow' some from Ralph's toolbox. lol. Thanks for the warning. It has been years since I really used my heat gun.

The room I am in is well ventilated and the resin doesn't have noxious fumes like a lot of them. I have tried gloves and end up with resin all over. I know it is a learned skill to use gloves when doing things. I will try to remember to warn my viewers not to do as I am because some people react very badly to resin on their skin.

If she wants some beginner training she can check out The Wholeness Shop on KZbin. She does a great job of showing how to do every stitch using pony beads, which are a lot bigger.

I have sold some, but it is not my first love or second one either. When my finished pieces get build up, a lot of times I donate a bunch to my son's school for their reading program. This year he hinted at that the new school he is teaching at doesn't have chickens like his old school did. The 5th graders raised them, collected their eggs to bring home to the family. Win-win. I like that idea. Not sure how much a chicken coop would cost.

I worry about scratching my molds. Also, I just do one pair of earrings with waste at a time. But if I did have some old worn molds, I would do what you suggested. Thank you.

They will sound wonderful. And you can spray paint them if the under color of the pearl isn't pretty enough. Some are pretty under the coating.
