@@reggiea2378 I think that's largely true for like 98% of the NBA, but I think I'd also argue there are outliers on both ends (guys that are always hurt and guys that aren't) that don't fall into that large middle of the curve

@@SportsEthostotally agree with the “injury-prone” guys. Always a risk with porzingis, kawhi, zion, etc. But the “never injured safe guys” like edwards, sabonis, tatum, etc can get injured any game and they probably will have a long term injury sometime in their career(knock on wood). For example KAT was Mr. Reliable that plays every game for a long time but look at him now. I’m sure some people are like “never drafting him again!”. Btw this is great off-season content!

@@reggiea2378 What you're saying is 100% true and maybe you get unlucky to catch someone like KAT when the wheels come off, but from that point on, he's no longer a safe guy, so there needs to be a reassess as well. I just believe we can analyze players on a year to year and as a WHOLE the correlation is low, but it's one of those interesting topics where taking it in a more micro level can reveal some stuff...

Full 25 week season. #2 pick Bane went out middle-of-season. #3 pick Markkanen went out 3/4-way-through-season. #1 pick Giannis went out last-week-of-season. #4 pick Harden faaaded end of season and then sat all last-week-of-season. Went from #1 to baaarely finishing 3rd! 😫

Hey Dan. What do you think of this idea --- if you drop a player who is IL+ eligible and pick someone up, that pickup doesn't count towards your pickups for the week? Could be a not-perfect solution to silly season and playoffs, where you plan ahead, plan your pickups, and then an injury or two quickly derails all those plans. This way, you'd avoid zeroes without hampering your ability to stream and match the games gained by your opponent's streams. I think this'll be more implementable (you'd need a good commisioner) than games cap (which is also a good idea). What do you think?

Id argue category hunting is a lot more relevant than taking care of percentages at this point in the season (for most roto players).Realistically how much can a 2/19 shooting night hurt you when the total fga for your season is likely in the 9500-12000 range.

@@SportsEthos The good news is that after a decade in Sacramento they will have two major cities behind them- in Oakland and Sacramento. At that point they could easily build a successfully ballpark in any of the numerous towns between Oakland and Sacramento. Imagine the California Athletics opening a new ballpark in Vallejo for 2037 season after playing a dozen years in Sacramento. The sky's the limit if Athletics can capture vast NorCal region.

@@SportsEthos I won my league championship match up! I was up 5-4 to start Sunday morning (up by one three pointer made and down 1% Three Point Percentage) it was very close up until Banton started playing for my opponent and missed all his three’s and I won 7-2. I drafted Tatum, D. Mitchell, D. Fox, Holmgren, Lopez, Sexton , Kessler & D. Russell to name a few. I picked up Jalen Johnson off waivers earlier in the season (thanks to you). I also made a three team trade in the beginning of February (I traded Bam Adebayo, Jamal Murray & Keegan Murray for Lebron James, Kelly Oubre Jr & Mikal Bridges) that wound up paying off huge during the playoffs since Lebron finished the regular season very strong. And to top it all off I grabbed Kelly Olynyk off waivers right before playoffs began. I finished in 1st place as the fourth seed with a 12-8-1 record. It was a great fantasy. This season was my first time following your show all season long thanks for all your help! I will always be tuned in from here on out!

I like Olynyk's fantasy game also but am weary of him resting on the back to backs's this week, as he did on a back to back a week or two ago. I have 2 more waiver moves available for this week. Do you think it'd be worth the risk to pick him up? My plan was to pickup someone for the first half of the week and then drop to pickup someone for the second half like Herb Jones for blocks and potentially 3's. What do you think? In a 6 team league; finals.

There is another way to add two game but its unlikely. If you are overloaded on friday, you could take a guy off from there to a guy playing Thurday, Saturday, Sunday (Sixers)
