Thanks for a great tutorial. I was working with the calculator and suddenly it stopped talking. I must have pressed a code accidentally. Does anyone know how to turn on the talking part?

Represent to the braille plus videos. I can believe that a book port DT has a built-in screen reader. Keep on posting some more videos about a book port DT from APH.

Especially, if a book port DT has its own Bluetooth audio. The book port DT is even more better than the book port plus. I hope I can buy me a book port DT this year. Keep on posting some more videos.

As for the person that says that blind people should only use dictation, you're an idiot. Dictation is unreliable and I don't want everyone around me knowing what I'm doing. As for the video it's self, I find this interesting because flush flicktype is the successor to flecksy, and I never got to use flecksy so it's interesting to see how similar it is to FlickType, of course you don't have to be in the app anymore to use it because ever sense iOS eight, third party keyboards are possible.

Hi Chase, thank you for the video. Do you answer questions? FYI for those who want one of these, Ebay has refurbished units sometimes, college DSPS can provide one if you have a class, or you can buy from APH. I have a problem. The calculator stopped talking (not totally it will talk to give a few directions but will not talk while using the calculator). We have been talking with APH helpdesk which said we need to upgrade the firmware. Having a video for upgrading the firmware would be helpful, I'm going to keep searching since tech support is closed for the weekend :( . We were told we needed the round connector but I do have the cord that fits in the port that has the USB symbol.

Thanks for the vid dude. I have kind of a spacific question. I'm trying to get it to read the relative maxima to me. Once i've bounded it on two sides, it'll say "maximum", but won't read the actual value. Do you know a possible solution to this?

This keyboard does not work with voice over when I touching those keys voice over do not read them at all only after I pressed the letter so it is not working for blind users!!! Hope to get a fix soon otherwise it is a not working keyboard for me. And the ability to get a bigger font would be cool the large font is not enough for me. I am user of attest ios 8.1.1

Thank you for the great tutorial video. My student and I explored the tutorial today. However, when you were describing the caret function on the calculator you said that 2 to the power of 3 would be 16. My student was entering some calculations using the caret function and we just wanted to let you know that the answer for that calculation would be 8. Thanks again for the great video.

You should enter the password in computer braille, so a number sign is not needed. You must type the numbers in the lower half of the cell, so the number 1 would be dot 2, 2 would be dots 2 and 3, etc.

We do plan on doing more videos on the Book Port DT at some point in the future, and this will include the recording process. In the mean time, you can find the instructions for recording books by pressing the zero key on the device to listen to and navigate through the manual.

Dragon does work very well on the iOS devices with Voice Over. there are many times, however, when one may not wish to dictate a message out loud for privacy reasons. Fleksy is a good and fast method of writing down text quickly and privately.

You can transfer books using Windows Explorer, just remember to put one book in each folder. Also, you will need to manually unzip most DAISY books before you place them on the Book Port. An installed copy of System Access was used in this video.
